Dear Planet Waves Reader:
This is a request for citizen journalism help on what promises to be an exciting day. Thursday, in all its centaur planet glory, is the international day of action for Occupy Wall Street. There are protests planned all over the world, and there’s a lot planned for New York City. In less than two hours from this posting, protesters are going to move in on the New York Stock Exchange.

If you’re going to be at any of those protests, or happen to bump into one, I would appreciate your eyes and ears out there for Planet Waves. For my coverage of this I need firsthand accounts, descriptions and photos.
There are a number of ways to participate. You can do nearly anything with a Droid or iPhone — they take good pictures and you can email or text. The information you send can be in short form, even sentences or paragraphs. If you’re quoting someone, get their name and some info about their location (Judy from Queens is fine, if someone does not want to give their last name).
Please be specific about what you see, plus when and where you see it. I’ll need to know who you are, and advice on contacting you back by phone or email.
My personal email is dreams@planetwaves.net. Please use Nov. 17 as your subject header so I can find all the emails on one search. I’ll be close to my desk most of the day. My cell, for texts, is (845) 797-3458. Call if something huge is going on. Please send a text if I am on the phone, and I’ll call you back. Note that by submitting anything to me or to Planet Waves, Inc., you’re affirming that it’s your intellectual property and granting us permission to use your work in our coverage of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
Thank you for your help and your contribution. Good luck and pay attention. If you plan to be in a crowd situation, please wear sturdy shoes.
Lovingly,
Editor, Planet Waves
P.S. for news hounds — If you’re going to be scanning the Internet, please send me anything interesting you find, specially if it’s local news or commentary. Please use dreams@planetwaves.net.
