Full Moon in Aquarius — Age of Aquarius

Link to Program

In tonight’s edition of Planet Waves FM, I cover both the Aquarius Full Moon (exact Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 9:44 pm EDT) and the elusive them of the Age of Aquarius. I do so with some help from the book Esoteric Astrology; I’ve provided a few quotes from that book, selected by Laurie Burnett (click on title above to get those).

Our musical guest is the phenomenal Treetop Flyers, some boys out of England that I met at Backstage Studio Productions in Kingston. In the program I mention an article called You Are Who You Are, a Planet Waves member-area favorite that covers the precession of the equinoxes and the difference between the two zodiacs.

  1. Eric, Your podcast just opened my eyes to a concept that is already life-changing. Although I am sure you’ve mentioned the idea of “group” vs. “mass” in the past, this time is suddenly identified for me why there are deep chasims between myself and others (such as my family of origin). It is that although I play nicely with groups, I simply do not think/live/breath in terms of “masses”. I had not “seen” this before. “It explains everything”.

Might have something to do with natal Uranus on AC or Eris conjunct natal Moon, but in this moment of the Full Moon I noticed in my natal chart: Yod between DML at 0Aries sextile Venus at 0AQ (Sun half-way between them at 2PI) Pluto is exact conj Isis-Transpluto) at 1Virgo, the finger of the Yod. ( Sun is intercepted in the 8th house.)

There’s always more to the story, but this piece of astrology highlighted by the Full Moon and your insightful, articulate thoughts have re-engaged my spirit with better understanding of Who I Am.

    Thank you.

  2. Empathizing Bette. For nearly 30 years I loved two Aquarian men with Leo Moons. One in my home and one in my heart/imagination (my college boyfriend, who behaved as you described). I have a bunch of personal and minor planets in Aquarius/12th house. I remain attracted to aquarians, but Aq sun is a deal breaker in the dating scene! However, 80% of my male clients have been Aquarians. Go figure.

Eric, the segment of this podcast I am wearing out on replay is Juno/Saturn. I have a Juno Saturn Asc conjunction in Scorpio, Sq. Mercury in Aq, and Venus, Chiron, QB1, and Pholus Conj in Aq. Nessus makes a T square with Juno/Saturn and Mercury. This Aq. Moon conj Nessus is illuminating the mysteries of this Natal chart. As the Moon moves on, so will I. Some of that baggage I’ve been hauling around will be left on the platform as the train pulls away.

All this is helped by Psyche crossing my Ascendant this past week, and Juno dancing back and forth across my Aquarian bundle. Your posts and Amanda’s have been immensely helpful to me.

  3. Yes, “edgy” indeed – I have felt this full moon surprisingly intensely. I say surprisingly because it is in my vacant 9th house & makes no aspects to any planets in my chart. I believe that the other “background” energy you spoke of may be a large part of why I’ve been particularly anxious (for no apparent reason) this past while. The Uranus-Pluto square makes significant aspects to my natal placements, as does Jupiter as he enters T-square territory. And then there’s my apparent “block” about Aquarius, which I hadn’t been aware of.

Long ago, I was married to an Aquarius man – briefly – he adored “everyone”, but neglected those closest to him, as he wandered off to fall in love again. I know, of course, that not all Aquarians are thus. However, I just realized, as I was listening to your discussion of the Age of Aquarius, that I had resisted giving much deep thought to what Aquarius, & the Age (whenever it actually commences) means, probably because of that miserable experience so long ago! I feel as though a light went on – I can look at Aquarius now – learn from it. Isn’t it interesting, how old doors can be opened, doors we didn’t even know were there, closed tight.

I finished freezing beans from my garden, then went out & looked at the moon on this lovely, clear night. She’s a beauty.

Thanks Eric, for opening that door in my mind/heart!

  4. I have been a member for a number of years. This is my first post thank you for following your heart and loving this tribe to make available this VERY important astrological information. Your analysis of this full moon resonates very deeply for me. What a beautiful choice of music!
