A lot of old feelings are coming up, but at least they’re clear and that, at present, means undeniable. Denial may be the religion of the world, but it doesn’t need to be your religion. I would, to the contrary, suggest some species of affirmation. Now, when I landed in a New Age community in 1986, and people were reciting affirmations like “I am lovable” and “I am wealthy,” I was a bit cynical. But the idea as I now understand it is to work with a statement and develop it until it rings absolutely true, till it comes from within. Doors open in such moments, and our once-obscure inner reality can become very apparent. Presently, you’re making this more complicated than it really is. Easy is the way.

(The Daily Oracle is a random selection from one of 10,000 Eric Francis horoscopes. 1. Thanks Len. I’ve been checkin’ the houses with the moon lately. I can feel the changes. This new moon was really weird, at 3 am I was out at my local all night dive, and (not knowing the time of the new) I had this rush of whispies all around me and I kinda phased out for a few. Everything was dark around me and my body felt like it was switching space/time. I literally felt the transit. Strange, strange, strange. Really cool though! I’m always up for a good WTF!

The moon’s been on me for a very long time to pay attention… (cancer rising maybe), it tells me all kinds of stuff when I open up.

The 3rd 9th is huge to me now, space I’ve not been… Workin’ it like a mofo!

    Love my friend,

    Jere

  2. jlo – been thinking about your question regarding the energies in a natal chart.

bkoehler – thank you for two very useful answers (going back again and again with fresh information and fresh eyes & the parallax view of a progressed chart).

One other thing i can add is to emphasize the houses. It was a conversation with Eric that started me towards that breakthrough. i recall him saying that the houses formed the topography of a natal or event chart. So, now, that’s where i start and if i’m having a good day that makes all the difference.

  3. mornin’ jlo and all,

Have to leave to get haircut in a few minutes, but jlo, you are so right about the hours of looking at your chart. I had a teacher (2nd one) that always, to any question I asked him, would say “look at your chart” . . .or “go back to your chart”. It’s because it can look different (kinda), I mean the planets are all still in the same place, but when you have a more or less specific topic or question in mind, the interplay among the planets and points can take on a different look or color or emphasis.

For me, it’s when I learn/read something new, maybe a new viewpoint, about astrology, I refer back to the natal chart and try to interpret the new info from a personal view. Like when Eric started to tweek his Nessus ideas, I go back to remind myself what and where my Nessus is, like who he trines or squares and see if it works for me.

The other main thing I do is use the progressed chart. Where your progressed moon and sun and venus and mercury can throw a different light on to the natal chart. I have my progressed sun and venus almost conjunct my natal (and progressed) neptune, with the moon coming into the same sign this year. Next year they will all be in a big friggin’ pile. . .same sign, same house. Help me Lord!

So maybe others have a specific and methodical system of interpreting, but I just kinda go with the flow. Whad’ya expect with all that Neptune stuff?

  4. (Astrology question for all) For anyone who’s stared at their natal for thousands of hours such as myself, and those who are new to the viewing,… How do you, what methodology do you use, How do you go about isolating and identifying the different energies within the chart. I’ve been utilizing the moon through its last cycle (leo to leo). I’m working out the sun, but it’s so damned slow. Everything else is even slower. Does anyone have some personal insight as to how to work out the energies that course through their being?
C’mon my astro bud’s! The Universal ground is rich!

    Love, J

  5. Morning Len – so nice to come in here each day and find a post from you. Everything HdW said and more…

Also – blessings to E for his big decision. I can feel the shift on here already – energy different, a slight pause for thought, an intake of breath – it will move on.

I am moving on today/tomorrow. By the time I’m next on here I will be in the next home for the next stage of my ongoing intensive experiential development programme here on planet Earth. Marvellous. Love to all. H.

  6. Posted my own (astrological) take of Eric’s decision under the Oracle for the 18th, but i doubt it will bring anyone the smile you just brought me.

    Love the term January Jolt.

Thanks for your affirmation and support, Len.

I really must say that I experience delight at the way you are expressing your astrological perspective in this forum. It seems you are tapping into a rich vein of astrological eloquence and exploring the poetic nature of it all. My hat’s off to you sir!

    Keep up the good work..

  7. August 18th astrological observation submitted in service:

Luna rises a bit latter every day/night (how much later depends on the time of year). This morning, before dawn that placed the waning crescent below Venus as the Moon works her way East, forward through the zodiac towards her monthly reunion with the Sun. It’s worth noting that, from an earthly standpoint, it may seem as the Moon is working its way backwards. And so it may seem with each case of working forwards in our lives as we encounter points of transition.

As is the case when the lunar nodes change signs, the new Moon appears late in a given sign/house bringing a new start just before a solar shift. This can be a difficult adjustment to work with if we have become attached to taking the energy of the sign in which the new Moon appears and working with it as the Sun proceeds through that sign. The opportunity of the new Moon late in a solar house is to learn how to release that attachment and shift, carrying the new lunar start into a transition to a different solar energy.

Transitions are difficult because of this peculiar thing called attachment, which somehow appears as the dross of earthly love and devotion. Nevertheless, these sea changes come upon us and part of life here in this sphere seems to be learning how give up resistance and embrace them to further our growth in preparation for transitions to come.

Just as Eric announced a transition for Planet Waves last night, just as he confessed to being torn over that decision, and just as those responding with comment supported him, let each of us in our own way please support each other in seeing, preparing and executing the transitions that are synchronistically presenting themselves for all.

    Share The Love,
    Len Wallick

  8. stating intentions gets the energy out there allowing
‘coincidences’ to do their thing. Flowing with circumstances while stating intentions while seeing and working toward the future seems to be the way not to work against yourself. Have faith in your setbacks, but keep working forward 🙂
