Astrology Today: Oracle for Saturday, January 4, 2013

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Cancer weekly for Nov. 15, 2007

Astrology Blog: The Oracle, Weekly Horoscopes, Monthly Horoscopes.

Mars stationing retrograde in your birth sign is a personal message, which is that the time has come to rise above your insecurities. But to do that, you need to know what they are, and that requires some unusual honesty. You need to know what you’re afraid of, and to some extent, why. Remembering the past is part of the process, but it needs to be the aspects of the past that you have, so far, overlooked, and that perspective is available. My friend Paloma Todd summed it up beautifully in an email this morning when she said that we have to go beyond our survival needs. Most of what hangs us up in life is some form of a struggle over survival, and most of it is old and getting older. It is time to discover something new. Here is the question: if your most basic survival needs were met, what would you do?

Note, The Oracle is a random selection from the Eric Francis horoscope archives. Each day we publish one entry from among the 10,000 in our database. It’s a little slice of horoscope history — but chosen by our Oracle program, which always speaks to the present moment. New horoscopes are published each Friday plus twice a month in Planet Waves subscriber edition and Planet Waves Light.

  1. Wormholing: part one

i made a wormhole and i fell in it!
was i pushed, or sucked in?
did I trip or step one thoughtless step back?
was i staring at the stars in the sky, seeking the sun
or just some fun, when i fell into another dimension?
    will i ever know?
    will it ever matter?

    so unsuspecting, innocent,
    my own creation,
    my magic wormhole
    my own adventure!

taking care of ourselves and each other –
    it’s all there
    in my ode to purpose,
my route to wellbeing, the tunnel through to
the world i made for me to explore.
    such a simple idea
yet fraught with so much unforeseen.
    sometimes the unseen,
the unforeseen path into the unknown and unknowable
is where real treasures are, for the finding.
thank goodness i took the notepad!
