Today’s Oracle takes us to the Scorpio weekly for May 20, 2005

It’s up to you to continue the impassioned creative revolution that has been sparked in your heart and soul. It may not be as easy to keep moving as you like. But then you may have noticed that you’ve begun a completely new cycle of self-expression creative freedom and developing the ability to love freely and without the thought of remorse. Remember that there is part of us that is programmed to respond to freedom with guilt. Keep an eye on that guilt and you’ll know when you’re heading in the right direction. Then remember you can do whatever you like.
Note, The Oracle is a random selection from the Eric Francis horoscope archives. Each day we publish one entry from among the 10,000 in our database. It’s a little slice of horoscope history — but chosen by our Oracle program, which always speaks to the present moment. New horoscopes are published each Friday plus twice a month in Planet Waves subscriber edition and Planet Waves Light.
One caveat to the remorse issue: Do as you will but harm none. Or, do not do to others what you would not want done to you. Freedom is fine, but sometimes guilt is a good warning that you’re about to make or have made a bad choice.
You’ve put it so beautifully Strawberry. One can only build on uncertainty when living a new way of being, stretching out into the unknown – plus the fact that nothing in life is certain even if it might seem that way at times….
I’d never thought about how remorse so often accompanies bursts of “creative freedom and developing the ability to love freely.” In my experience it’s often part of that run-for-cover reaction to having shown my vulnerability–through love or creative expression or whatever.
I feel like my life has taken one gigantic, tentative step in the direction of that kind of freedom over the weekend, and this morning I’m sitting with the desire to take it all back & run for cover. It’s not guilt for me, more like a lack of trust that the uncertainty can be something to build upon. And yet, isn’t it the Uncertainty Principle that serves as something of a founding explanation of quantum mechanics?
Oh boy! Once again, dear Ericle, can’t thank you enough for this. “Remember that there is part of us that is programmed to respond to freedom with guilt” – yes, have to reeeally work with this one.
