Astrology Today: Oracle for Friday, November 16, 2012

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Capricorn monthly for July 8, 2008

Astrology Blog: The Oracle, Weekly Horoscopes, Monthly Horoscopes.

As you may know, this is the year when Pluto is working its way into your birth sign for the first time since Ben Franklin concerned himself with the question of your life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. In the first half of the year, you’ve had a taste of the focus you’re capable of. More to the point, you’ve begun to discover you have an actual impact on the world, and you’ve seen you’re far more capable of change than you ever suspected. You’re made of tough stuff, and that which is strong is not often so flexible. Pluto is made of tougher stuff than you are, and he takes no prisoners. Here is some astrological counsel designed to last you a decade: the more you bend, the less you will break.

Note, The Oracle is a random selection from the Eric Francis horoscope archives. Each day we publish one entry from among the 10,000 in our database. It’s a little slice of horoscope history — but chosen by our Oracle program, which always speaks to the present moment. New horoscopes are published each Friday plus twice a month in Planet Waves subscriber edition and Planet Waves Light. And for your 2012 annual reading, you’ll find Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check.

  1. “More to the point, you’ve begun to discover you have an actual impact on the world, and you’ve seen you’re far more capable of change than you ever suspected.”

I think that’s what most of us desire – to look back and see footprints in this (quick) sand of Life, having left an impact on everyone and everything we knew, having uplifted, having given hope, having loved, having evoked love. Being missed for being special.

“the more you bend, the less you will break.”

Old Truth – be like the willow, not the oak.

  2. Bending and not breaking–makes me think of this: ”We could learn to stop when the sun goes down and when the sun comes up. We could learn to listen to the wind; we could learn to notice that it’s raining or snowing or hailing or calm. We could reconnect with the weather that is ourselves, and we could realize that it’s sad. The sadder it is, and the vaster it is, the more our heart opens. We can stop thinking that good practice is when it’s smooth and calm, and bad practice is when it’s rough and dark. If we can hold it all in our hearts, then we can make a proper cup of tea.” ~ Pema Chodron … Gonna have that cuppa right now.
