For eight years, Jessica Terry suffered from stomach pain so horrible, it brought her to her knees. The pain, along with diarrhea, vomiting and fever, made her so sick, she lost weight and often had to miss school.
Her doctors, no matter how hard they tried, couldn’t figure out the cause of Jessica’s abdominal distress.
Then one day in January, Terry, 18, figured it out on her own.
In her Advanced Placement high school science class, she was looking under the microscope at slides of her own intestinal tissue — slides her pathologist had said were completely normal — and spotted an area of inflamed tissue called a granuloma, a clear indication that she had Crohn’s disease.
“It’s weird I had to solve my own medical problem,” Terry told CNN affiliate KOMO in Seattle, Washington. “There were just no answers anywhere. … I was always sick.”
VicV, (Candida Albicans?),.. another limb for me, I’ve used Paul Pitchford’s “Healing With Whole Foods” book for 15 years, excellent reference…. but, I am a vegan, my body chemistry is very individual. Perhaps worth a look.

Wow! Holy Bejeezus! I JUST came home from hearing Ann Boroch, a Candida expert and expert on MS/Autoimmune Disease and it’s roots in chronic systemic Candida…..she has helped thousands of people conquer some serious diseases like Cancer, MS, as well as an everyday general shitty quality of health. Her entire mantra in her work is about helping people to empower themselves! She told a story about a 14 year old boy who was being treated by the head of Cedars Sinai (a very “big” hospital in LA), who wanted to remove the boys colon (!) after ulcer medications wouldn’t work and he was having chronic diarrhea. Can you imagine? Well, she treated him for 4 months and he made a full recovery after ridding himself of the Candida. @#$%^&!!!!
I too-have had a hundred + illnesses over the years and recently had a massive breakthrough that I have Candidiasis (I had this breakthru of my own on the Taurus Full Moon last month). I have been to a lot of doctors, including some Naturopaths and Alternative health practicioners. Because I’ve never suffered from vaginal yeast infections-and didn’t have this as an OBVIOUS symptom) and not one ever suggested that I could EMPOWER myself and get things under control with an extensive Candida cleanse. I honestly cannot believe more people are not talking about this….but of course, I am so glad that Planetwaves is!

I sell the diagnostic tests that “aid in the diagnose” of Crohn’s disease. Unfortunately, you normally have to get to a specialist who knows enough to order those tests. And, then there’s a small percentage of the population that will be negative by even those tests and require a test (OMP) that’s pretty new to the market. To me, we’ve only begun to scratch the surface as to what’s really behind the onset of this and other autoimmune diseases.
I was only that sick for 4 – 5 weeks before someone figured it out. Off work for 5 months and lost 20lbs during the first 4 weeks. Very scary when you don’t know what’s wrong and you cannot eat or drink. All under control now, 11 years later.
