Len,
You have indeed made this day a fortunate one for me!
And long-form fortunate to be part of this great PW family, legos, chopsticks and all 😀
xoxoxoxoxo!
aword,
You are my most fortunate cookie. Your erudition and generous spirit have alweays been an inspiration for me.
Len – and where’s MY fortune cookie?
🙂
Eric – thank you for hanging loose with your humor.
liminali – thank you for your reference.
Oops, it’s Walter, not Walker. Katya Walter.
Len, are you familiar with Katya Walker’s work? Her book “The Tao of Chaos” links chaos theory, the structure of DNA, and the I Ching. Here is a link to her website, Double Bubble Universe.
Oh! I’d LOVE to see one of these built with chopsticks!
Yes, Len — that was the development of chop sticks, the greatest invention since…hot and sour soup.
Kudos to those so clever with Legos. Astonished and awe-filled acknowledgement to the ancient Greeks who mechanized the celestial cycles. But let us not forget that long before both (possibly before weaving and pottery, when people were wearing animal skins) sombody in China gathered fifty sticks and developed a method by which they would constitute an eight-bit computer for generating random numbers so as to augur the synchronicities of our existence here on Earth.
