The Sun in Taurus and Chiron conjunct Neptune

Venus has been a prominent planet much of the year, moving retrograde in Aries, squaring Pluto, conjoining the Aries Point and then stationing direct on Friday in the last degree of Pisces. It’s fair to say that Venus retrogrades are gentler process than a lot of things we are accustomed to in experiencing astrology. Yet what has always fascinated me since the advent of the Internet is how a collective conversation can evolve around collective astrology, in a way that was never possible before. We can actually process collective karma in a collective environment.

When the Sun entered Taurus last night, my body and soul relaxed. I felt it palpably without even recognizing what happened — I clicked on sprite late last night and the Sun had entered the first degree, which as the Sabian symbol “A Clear Mountain Stream.”

As for the lunar cycle, the Taurus New Moon is Friday, April 24 at 11:22 pm EDT. The Moon is currently in early Pisces, along with Juno, Mars, Uranus and Venus. By entering an Earth sign, the first thing that the Sun will do is make a trine to Pluto in Capricorn. This will let off a lot of pressure, provide means of expression and open up a big vent for creative and emotional energy. Problems that seemed to have no solution may start to give way.

This is happening during what I can call a special time in history. In other words, we are in a truly extraordinary astrological moment, which is rare enough to be generational in nature: astrology that defines a phase of history and a sub-generation of birth charts; and that is Chiron conjunct Neptune in Aquarius. These two planets have been building to a conjunction for years, and the effects have been gradually growing, building and raising in our awareness. In my view, this is the quest for clarity that we are all feeling.

While this conjunction will happen every 60 years or so (I’ll research the history in a little while and get back to you with information about the last two or three conjunctions), this particular one has Jupiter involved. So it’s a triple conjunction that is exact the last week of May, involving Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune. But we are under its full influence right now.

The two rulers of Pisces are making a conjunction with Chiron in Aquarius. Chiron is always about raising awareness in some form, and that process is a potent influence on healing. In fact in any healing process, awareness is about the best thing you can get into the action. Some would say that is the goal of any healing process. In this case, with Chiron [initially] conjunct Neptune, we can raise awareness about illusions, delusions and denial that has been soaking our culture the past decade; and also claim the spiritual progress that we have made so diligently.

Of the two, I would be happier to see the second one gain ground in our consciousness, because as Gurani Angali said, “Action is the fruit of knowledge.”

I have some additional thoughts about the alignment of Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune, and the involvement of Uranus in Pisces, which I will get to tomorrow. I think it suggests something truly unusual opening up in our consciousness, on a collective level.

Thanks for tuning in.

Yours & truly,

Eric Francis
