Lordie, I meant to include that you look beautiful in that shot.

Hi Amanda,
Thanks for the lovely reply.
I agree — it can be a transcendental experience that can illicit pure love and joy.
Now I really cannot wait to begin my search for a similar spot like the one you have found.
Lucky you!

hey shebear —
for the record, i didn’t enter the water this time around. those little mountain streams stay very cold! but i have found a spot in my own neck of the woods that occasionally affords me the luxury you speak of. i especially love it in broad daylight — that combination of sun, air, water and bare rock on my entire body is one of the most deliciously wonderful sensations in existence (ever let your leg hair grow? you have no idea how sublimely subtle a sensation can be until you’ve felt the breeze or water stirring those little follicles).
anyway, i sincerely wish you luck finding a suitable spot near you. it’s worth it; so connecting… a form of pure love and joy, in my opinion.
cheers,
amanda
The first time I tried skinny dipping was somewhere on Vancouver Island in the mid eighties, and I really loved it. (The frigid waters surrounding Ireland never afforded such a luxury!) Sadly, I’ve only tried it once or twice since, but recently an aching memory of water surrounding my entire body has captivated me and I am very hungry to strip down and submerge myself in some nearby lake, at the earliest possible opportunity.
This photograph perfectly encapsulates that longing and my determination to find somewhere like the Grandmother Land to plunge into and swim naked this summer.
Taurus New Moon? There’s my #1 wish for this summer!
