To take this photo, I lifted my ban on sunset photography. But I do stalk tourists, at least when I am in Europe; and I stand around waiting for them to drift into the scene. They cannot escape my lens…
Eric, I just returned home after visiting with family in Portland (I grew up on the Maine coast for the most part) for the last two weeks of July. It’s interesting to be able to read first-hand accounts of the experiences you were having while I was experiencing my own reality in the same geographical area. When I visit a new place as a tourist I often look around at the crowds of people with cameras and wonder how many photographs around the world I am going to end up in the background of. 🙂
