Good morning:
Today I’ll be taking a day off from daily writing to finish several horoscopes, including the monthly horoscope for September, and Friday’s weekly.

Tomorrow we will be updating a new subscriber blog with information on the Leo New Moon, which occurs later in the week. This will be available to all current customers of any Planet Waves product. This includes Planet Waves Astrology News, Next World Stories and the Midyear Report. Later today we will be sending the new blog’s common password to all current subscribers to these products. The password will also go to our Colleagues and Contributors lists. Those who have submitted article proposals for the 2010 annual edition will receive the login information but it may arrive a day late.
Tomorrow’s update will be about the Leo New Moon, looking at Leo as a measure of value in astrology. I’ll go over the chart as well as its connection to the ancient Greek Thema Mundi, the chart of the world that was given to us by the Founders of astrology late in the 1st millennium B.C. I’ll have some interesting in formation about Leo’s relationship to the homeopathic remedy aurum metallicum, a remedy made from gold.
This page will continue to update with the Oracle, the daily photo, certain news updates, and the occasional archive post, so check back in for interesting stuff a few times a day.
Discussion about current astrology is welcome — consider this an open thread. Today the Moon is in Cancer about to make a conjunction to Venus, the Sun is opposite Neptune, sextile Mars and quincunx Uranus. Mercury is conjunct Saturn in Virgo.
Vesta in Cancer is trine Uranus in Pisces. That’s a nice doorway.
Keep your light on,

bkoehler,
Thhank you for the compliment but i’m not a therapist nor a psychologist, nor even a college graduate. i am fortunate enough to have a job but old enough and un-credentialed enough to be in a tough spot if i lose it. i’m just somebody who tries to learn from his mistakes while finding ways to keep growing.

Thanks jlo . . .shuda figured it out. Shame on me. And the water/fire thing, was well said. Don’t think you’re losing it, think you are circling for a landing.
I admired Phil too, but nothing lasts forever apparently. Speaking of, must get back to email and check out the new blog. See you on the other side.
Apologies for my slang. “The four elements”. (the crescent and venus was pretty cool eh?!)
I’ve been foollowing the moon for weeks now, my ac is 24 cancer, I don’t understand jack these days, more questions than action. I feel like I’m blowing it big time but, (I know that’s a b.s. thought process.)
(I have to say, I really liked Phil… he embodied a degree of integrity that I’ve not seen since.)
Regarding the water/fire trine, … I have to throw this succinctly, I’m losin’ it, one is the transference of energy, and one is the generation of energy. Those aren’t so far apart….

Well, I’ll try Len. I’ll try compassion, but it ain’t easy. I mean, some of these folks seem willfully ignorant. But I’ll try. And you are the sweetie. Those of us who ramble on don’t usually get such acceptance, much less gracious appreciation. You, my friend, are the breath of fresh air!
Anyway, the fear from investment in a doomed paradigm appears to be a big part of the mania, according to what I just read on the Huffington Post. Reporters inside the anti-healthcare reform demonstrations found out that other anxieties about possible interference from government were encouraging the displays of rude and threatening behavior at these rallies. Just listen to what Patty here on PW can tell you about THAT reality and how it affects your perspective. Still, it’s hard to be sympathetic with a rabid dog when you are confronted by one.
If you’re not a therapist (psychologist?) you could fool me.
bkoleher,
You are a breath of freah air – bless you. Could it be the reactions (key word that) are real, expressions of fear from those invested in doomed paradigm that is half a loaf at best? Compassion might be a way to respond to those who react.
Please accept gratitude for your countinued insigtful application of the President’s chart to current transits and aspects. Yes, that yod does seem to come into play a lot. Hope you are right about a game-changing speech.
Thank you for something sweet and nourishing to chew on.

Guess it’s 4 parts of something . . astronomy? Jere, what IS quadranamy?
Til he gets back, I’m wondering how PWers are evaluating the behavior of some of our fellow citizens’ reactions (are they real reactions or paid for reactions?) regarding the suggested changes in health care/insurance here in the U.S. I know, I know, I’ve watched too much (so called) TV news coverage, which thrives on the volatile emotions displayed at meetings meant to discuss legitimate questions and concerns. It saddens me to think that progress could be trampled by this kind of closed-mindedness.
What cheers me is that this is the way I often felt during the election campaign before Obama won the Democrat slot. More of the same during the weeks leading up to the actual election, then relief that he won the presidency. So many elections preceding this last one have left me feeling hopeless for our country; I don’t want to feel that way again.
I’m also cheered by the fact that we’ve gone through 3 eclipses. Eclipses which unleash the snake-brain emotions of many, leading to lunatic (yeah, I used that on purpose!) behavior. Okay, so I’m feeling better. Then I remember that Vesta (hard working Vesta)was conjunct the Aries point at 1 degree Cancer. . . emotional Cancer at the summer solstice (and 6/22 new moon). This only a couple of weeks before the start of the eclipses. And that Vesta was opposed Pluto at 1 Capricorn. Well, this almost seems logical now. No wonder it’s all over the news and no wonder it gets to us at the heart (hearth) of our personal lives.
So skip ahead to now when Vesta is trine Uranus; she’s still working hard in the home (land – Cancer) and he’s stirring up revolutionary emotions (Pisces). And what about that butthead wearing a gun on his leg at the Obama speech? Is there any doubt these are historical times?
Now, take a look at the chart for the new moon on Thursday. The Sun/Moon are conjunct Obama’s north node (and Uranus). That’s the focal point of the yod in his chart that I keep ranting about. It has Saturn (in Capricorn) sextile Pallas Athena (in Pisces) in his chart pumping up the volume, and with just a little(?) help from transiting Uranus (conjunct his Pallas) and transiting Vesta (opposite his Saturn), his stratagist-self and his authoratative-self (Capricorn “uses”) are getting no letup.
Where else to go with that energy except to the north node/Uranus/new moon spot at 27 Leo 31? That spot so bravely opposing the Neptune, Chiron, Jupiter gang, is on the ascendent of the New Moon chart in Washington DC. Yeah, baby. My heart leaps at the prospect of a knock-em-dead speech, or whatever, that could come at the end of this month and before the 9/4 full moon starting the Labor Day weekend. What a time to be a Leo. Go Mr. President!
Well, I’ll be damned. After having an intense *peak* experience and being between several dimensions of art, music, and harmony last night, I am feeling Vesta revving up her flame and lighting fire under my arse…..perhaps leading up to the New Moon in last degree of my Leo fifth house….Might explode over here (in a good way). Looking forward to seeing how this “gold standard” applies and adds its touch. Hopefully it will be a Midas touch.
Thanks everyone for teaching me that it’s all happening the way it’s supposed to….and the stars never lie…..:)

Jere,
Thank you for setting me straight, but, can you please tell me what you mean by quadranamy?
With Thanks and Good Will
-Len Wallick
Prometheus is a point of it’s own. You can find it within the Serennu.com .
Fire and water is a righteous mix. (Think of all the ways we have gained knowledge from the alchemy of these two elements.) Steam. Boiling. …A whole bunch of other shit.
These cats, in the quadranamy, LAY down foundations for future prospects.
Where is “I”….
(back to the 12th?!?)?!?
(a tripper floatin’ vibes…)
(Does this shit make any sense?)
Jere
Been thinking about the “nice doorway” as Eric described it. Eric has been known to refer to Uranus by an alternative name – Prometheus. The AKA fits if you think about when Uranus was discovered (between the American and French revolutions), that it was the first planet discovered by science, that is it commonly associated with surprise and considered to be an agent of change (especially sudden change). Both Vesta and Prometheus are associated with fire, yet their trine is taking place from their position in water signs. What to make of this? Is it an oxymoron?
As Phil Donahue used to say, help me out here.
With Gratitude and Good Will,
-Len Wallick
Thank you, Eric for introducing the day.
As is my custom i was up before dawn and (after a week and a half of cloudy and rainy weather locally) the Puget Sound area is seeing Summer return for a while. The clearing skies revealed first Jupiter (more or less to the south) and then the marvelous tableau of Venus in rising in the East, just below the crescent Moon. The upper, un-illuminated portion of Luna was visible, providing an awareness that it is indeed a sphere and giving a depth to the sky.
Thank you also, Eric, for setting a good example. With Mercury conjunct Saturn in Virgo, it is necessary for us to priortize and be adaptable in order to handle the demands of a busy week, striving to wrap things up and ground ouselves in preparation for the opportunities a new moon taking place at the end of a sign and solar house.
In Service and God Will,
Len Wallick
