This afternoon I went to a movie that ended around 6:30pm. When I came out and began walking home, I saw Venus up ahead of me and then, quite unconsciously, spun my head back over my right shoulder and simply could NOT believe what I saw. The moon was coming up off the eastern horizon and I gasped aloud when I saw it. It literally took my breath away. I think that the fact that it was so, so cold here in Toronto, and the air was as crisp and as clean as it could be; I think that made the moon stand out all the more, in full majestic radiance.
I’m not going to forget this one.
