Today’s Oracle takes us to the Libra weekly of Jan. 20, 2006
Developments this week are the first step toward bringing you back to the present and moving in the direction of the future. You still may be preoccupied with a past situation but it’s slowly losing both its influence and attractiveness, particularly if you’ve devoted yourself to working it out. Still, there is no rush, and the future really is taking care of itself. All you need to do to get there is follow the gentle lure of your curiosity and that not-so-subtle yearning for new experience that should be making itself known right around now.
[Eric commenting 12/31/09: What a vague horoscope! I wrote this? It must have been the same day I wrote three columns for Jonathan Cainer and couldn’t think of anything to say. I’m looking at a chart for 6/20/06, at the moment and Mars is exactly conjunct Vesta; and has just passed a conjunction to Saturn in Leo. This looks like one of those situations where there’s someone you’re really interested in and you know they like you, but they’re not paying attention to you. What do you do with that kind of a game? Good therapy would say to ignore it and move on; to not encourage that kind of conduct. But with astrology we see the Mars-Vesta contact and wonder: what is this person really going through? The Sun in this chart is about to change signs from Gemini to Cancer — the chart is right on the northern summer solstice. There is a close Jupiter-Saturn square as well: some kind of last chance is involved. This chart to me says pause a few hours until the Sun has ingressed Cancer and take action.]

it reminds me of my last year at my job of 37 years. I had a boss who liked me and my work (he came on in October 05) but he brought his work wife with him – you know the type. So anyway he liked me but he wanted her in my job. I finally decided to retire at the eclipse ‘escape from a narrow destiny’ in Sept 2006. It’s been a really weird 3 years since then, but I am headed in a direction that I like, and with my progressed rising sign in Sagitarrius (from Libra), I think I have a new source of income about to open up and new life that is finally making sense. When the gentle lure meets the not so gentle push, it may be time to pay attention.
Eric,
Vague? Not at all. . .and I barely got it read before the end of the day. And the end of the year for heaven’s sake! What I’m trying to say is that it is exactly what I wanted to hear (the original part I’m talking about) so it’s a damn fine oracle. Especially, I like the “no rush” and “gentle lure” parts. Just what I needed to relax and breathe normally. Thanks for ending the day on such a perfect note. Happy New Year to you and all the staff and all the commenters here at PW. See you next year!
And dead on for this Leo, too.
Happy, happy new year!
haha
June, January, July — why do THREE different months begin with the same letter? There are just 12 months and 26 letters.
Thanks Mireille!
Hey Eric, the horoscope was actually that of January 20th 2006, not June 20th as you speak of in your comment. Perhaps that’s where your confusion comes from?
Today’s oracle is bang on for this Virgo, by the way. Not vague at all.
Wishing you a warm and intriguing entrance to your new year.
