Don’t just act cool or keep your cool. You must be cool. You must not let your worst fears run away with you, and at the same time don’t go too overboard on your plans to take over the world. Between the worst possible catastrophe and the highest and mightiest triumph in all of human creation, there is what you are simply trying to do. It will remain simple as long as you keep it such, and remember that anything we do in this world we do with the help of our friends. Therefore, it would be very helpful to keep clear communication with the people you trust, want to trust, and need to maintain cooperative relationships with. When the time comes to doubt, I suggest you express your doubts in a reasonable way rather than make any assumptions. To do this, you will need to know when you are making assumptions, which would indeed be a great triumph for humanity.

Descartes….. Cartesian doubt….. a European Philosopher’s tool!
Now Descartes was a cool dude! He was a medical man who loved to study anatomy and dissect the human body! The Church got a grip of this situation and poor old Dessi Diddy was actually on the virge of BBQ status. Blasphemy with a capital bonfire! Then he came up with the Piscean Uranus Mercury Sun Moon inspirational move that saved his ass!! He postualated a Mind-Body relationship! Cogito Ergo Sum!! Voila!! Who’s a clever boy then? Upon the moment of death ….. he rapped profusely…. the Spirit/Mind departs the mortal coil…. leaving only the sticky and stiff rigor mortis bits. So … no offence…. only death to be dissected! The Church gave him honorable status…. for enobling the Spirit.(Catholic …of course)!
Unfortunately…the world and his brother have been trying to find this elusive mind thing…ever since…!!
Now here is the meat! Descarte…. then digging his new found spiritual status… came up with his contribution to Philosophy! Cartesian Doubt!
Premise 1.
All I receive is sense datum. ( eyes ears nose….etc…..we then process the data to make sense of it)
Premise 2.
Sometimes my senses deceive me. ( I could have sworn he/she was blonde!!)
Premise 3.
So how do I know that I am not always deceived? ( Fair comment guv… how do we know?)
OK so this argument highlights our sense of doubt! How does it work? How do I reconcile this murky pit with my sense of certainty?
Simple…you can only doubt something …because it exists……. therefore to doubt something is to affirm its existence… otherwise it most certainly would not exist!!
Voila!!
Now you can turn your attentions to fear…. but with a certainty that your faith in yourself really does exist!! So you can trust yourself… therefore you are equipped to learn how to trust others!
