Values about how to relate to and co-exist with former partners have definitely changed. There is no longer the presumption of enmity. True, not everyone is as graceful as everyone else, but the most important value to change involves jealousy. In other words, it’s fair to expect people are not going to be cross with us for going on with our lives.
