Air France Flight 447 Astrology

Brief update…I just talked to a commercial pilot who said that some big storms can be quite high up; then Cam passed along this excellent analysis by a pilot as well. I have to say while this kind of issue makes me cringe a little bit, it takes nothing away from my love of aviation and my respect for its pioneers and pilots. We who are willing to climb aboard airplanes, no matter how advanced they seem today, are among them.

On an astrology update, one of our readers points out the obvious that I missed, the potential that a 12th Pluto in Cap points to something sinister, despite the perfectly viable storm thesis (outlined in the analysis above). There are other excellent comments below, clarifying my questions about navigation issues. Thanks guys.

For those wondering or writing in about the chart for Air France 447 from Rio to Paris, I’ve checked the takeoff chart — and like the incident itself, the chart reveals very little on the first few looks. Honoring the traditions of horary astrology I am not delving into asteroids and centaurs; when an event chart speaks, it will speak through the basic planets. With horary we are not looking for psychological details, but rather a clue to the fate of the passengers and the aircraft. Yet the main clues seem to be psychological in nature. And we are distinctly lacking something vis a vis technology.

This is not a crash chart; that is impossible to place, because we don’t know whether there was a crash and if so, where it happened. The information we need should be in the takeoff chart, which is cast for just past 7 pm local time yesterday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The closest thing we get to a clue is that Pluto is four degrees from the ascendant, in the 12th house; that is to say, Pluto is rising. Pluto is in the ascendant range (say, within 20 degrees) for about 80 minutes a day; in this chart, it rose about 15 minutes earlier. While I’m not surprised to see that in this chart, it’s not enough to say ‘ill fated’ much less offer a clue as to the nature of the fate itself.

The fact that Mercury stationed direct in Taurus less than one day earlier is also a clue; Mercury retrograde is famous for technical issues that can become increasingly complex if they are over-reacted to. Still, that is not a concrete cause or even sufficient to implicate anything. The Moon in Virgo is in a close, applying trine to Mercury, which is the one thing in this chart that does point to the recent station-direct.

When looking at the nature and cause of death, the 8th house and its ruler are planets well worth checking out; and in this case, we have the first degree of Leo on the cusp, which points to the Gemini Sun. The Sun also rules the 9th, which is the house of aviation. The Sun is placed in the 6th; which suggests that whatever occurred might have been complicated by a health issue in one of the pilots. Given the fact that there were three pilots on board this airplane at the time of the crash, were there a pilot issue involved, it’s unlikely to have been mere disability; the issue would have to be psychological, such as a dispute or power struggle; these things happen, but they are unlikely.

Most of us have taken a trans-Atlantic flight; there is a lot that can go wrong with an aluminum tube 40,000 feet above the ocean traveling at close to the speed of sound. I don’t see any indication that something truly extraordinary happened (such as something Bermuda Triangleish), in case that’s what anyone is thinking. But the questions are still odd. Why for example can I be tracked to 15 feet with the GPS unit in my phone, while a state of the art aircraft is not being followed along by GPS? How come I haven’t heard the term GPS, which was designed for aircraft, mentioned once yet?

It was a strange weekend; the news has been rife with relatively small events that feel like they have profound significance — such as the assassination of a prominent abortion doctor while he was working as an usher in church; a shooting at an Army recruiting station; Susan Boyle coming in second place and checking into a psych ward; then the GM bankruptcy today. Reading your personal accounts below, there has been a lot of pent up energy trying to break itself loose. Mercury is still slow and powerful and is going to take over a week to reach a square to the Aquarius alignment.

Easy does it. Take every opportunity to do less, to rest, to think and to take care of your body. By the time Mercury reaches its square to the conjunction next weekend, you will be happy you did.

    Also, “2 names on a list of ‘names of radical muslims considered a threat to the French Republic’ were listed as passengers on Flight 447.”

    And so the plot thickens. Pluto destroys, but Pluto also digs for clues. Strong hidden enemies indeed.

    As an aside, in another article (CTV.ca) about the plane crash, the journalist said “Rumor continues with speculation that a EMP device was used. I hope that is not true because that is an aviation ACHILLES (my caps) heel that only aviation engineers (and state security agencies) know about.” In the chart for Flight 447 Takeoff (Eric’s), Achilles was at 20+ Aries, conjunct Eris 21+ Aries in the 4th house. Little trouble-maker!

  3. While exact place of the crash is not known, the exact time, due to the automatic crash telemetry is known quite precisely. And it gives some approximation to the location as well. If and when the maps from the rescue action will be released, location may be known precisely enough for astrological purposes too…

  4. The Weather Channel insists there were NO STORMS in the area where the plane went down, at the time it went down, nor any storms for at least an hour after it went down.

  5. That’s true Gauri, and wouldn’t the Mars energy be affected by that too? Hidden or reduced in some way?

    I hope they release the names of who was on that plane, and who cancelled or didn’t board but had tickets, if any. Not that I would recognize them, but I’d like to know if any changes come about in Brazil (or any other countries) due to death of any of those people on board. Wonder what IS going on in Brazil? Something to check out, but I’m afraid you are right and that in a day or two we won’t hear another word about it. Although, I did hear (CNN) that an oil slick or something like that was spotted in the area they think the plane went down.

Another interesting thing about this chart is that the Aries point where things become public in a big way & touch the masses is ‘hidden’ in this chart (Aries is intercepted) in the 4th house, the house of endings….so may be some truths about this bizarre ‘accident’ may never become public & may forever remain a ‘mystery’, may be ??

  7. Well, what if there really was sabotage? I suppose it’s too awful to imagine, but SOMETHING happened to that plane. I mean, the Pluto placement alone shouts something sinister, but it forms a grand trine between Mars and Ceres so if it WAS sinister, it was probably pretty easy to do.

    And call me crazy, but that T-square between the Sun, Saturn and Uranus not so obvious without the ladies, Moon, Juno and Vesta, who are their traveling companions, could surely wreak some havoc on a big jet if so minded.

    And speaking of the ladies, Venus is traveling with Mars, so IF there WAS something sinister, it has a very feminine touch. Oh come on, somebody flesh this thing out for me. It couldn’t just be a bolt of lightening, unless it was Uranus of course.

  8. On a practical note, GPS is a passive system that allows for a position on this sphere called Earth to be reported. It does not ‘track’ anything per se, but allows for assorted communications systems to transmit the positions generated by GPS systems back to air traffic control centers. A GPS receiver compares the data encoded by as many as 8-12 GPS satellites and works out its position on the globe from that data (an aircraft system may receive even more, but those on the other side of the planet are invisible and thus unable to contribute to the position fix).

    Not to mention that they were crossing the south Atlantic where there is an absolute minimum of radar to track aircraft. Once out of Brazilian airspace and control, there would be virtually nothing until Morocco was reached. There are no satellite systems that track commercial flights, although many airliners carry satellite telephone equipment, which have little or nothing to do with the actual navigation equipment.

    For a terrestrial comparison, the OnStar system for cars actually has a cellphone built in that reports the car’s position and handles all the operator requests and 911 calls. Less expensive GM cars don’t even have a display to tell you where you are, only the operator knows for sure. Wow, GM cars? Did I actually write that? Who knows what will happen after today… Too many people believe that OnStar somehow uses satellites to make the phone calls – nope, just a lowly cellphone that may not have service… Cellphones with GPS do the same thing, actually a system built in that reports the GPS coordinates of the phone making the call using a data sequence sent over the phone while talking.

    I feel for the families of the missing: by now there is little hope, and the BBC is currently reporting that nothing has been found yet (Monday night US).

    I’ll leave the astrology of this event to others with far greater knowledge, but I had to comment on the very earthly technical side, which is where a good part of my Aquarian brain resides.

  9. This is wierd. From that linked article there seems to be a pattern of 3’s, 6’s, 9’s and 8’s (I inserted the numbers in the brackets):

    “The Timeline – The flight, carrying 216 [9] passengers and 12 [3] crewmembers, left Rio de Janeiro at 6:03 [9] p.m. Sunday EDT (7:03 [10] PM local time). It flew beyond radar coverage 3 [3] hours and 33 [6] minutes later (at 9:33 [3] p.m. EDT). A half hour [3] later (10 [10] p.m. EDT) – now four hours into the flight – the plane encountered heavy turbulence. Fifteen [6] minutes later (10:15 p.m. EDT), now a long way out to sea, it transmitted an automated signals indicating the plane was in serious trouble.”

    “The Captain had 11,000 [2] hours total time (1700 [8] in the Airbus A330/A340 [6/7]). One Copilot had 3,000 [3] hours total time (800 [8] in the Airbus A330/340 [6/7]) and the other Copilot had 6,600 [3] hours total time (2,600 [8] in the Airbus A330/340 [6/7]).”

    Even Flight 447 [6].

    Any relevance or just coincidence? Wierd, huh?

  10. Gauri . .that is an intriguing point, Pluto and strong hidden enemies. I was wondering if anyone important, or an important group , like political figures or some “rights” activists were passengers.

    Also, the fact that there’s a T- square from the Moon (which brings in Saturn, ruler of chart) to Juno (which brings in Uranus) to Vesta (which brings in the Sun).

  12. There must have been a dozen planes that took off and were en route to Europe at that time, from that region. They all fly at night for early morning arrival in the European hubs.

My thought as I looked at the ephemeris for this morning (after learning of the missing aircraft) was that Mercury had been in a square (May 19 or 20 I think) to the planets in Aquarius (air), Neptune (sea) and Jupiter, who shows up a lot in death charts. I know the system you use restricts the search for clues to the major planets only, but one can’t help but wonder . . . . . .

    Mercury was conjunct Sedna (and trine birdman Makemake!) Heard a pilot on TV say that an area near the equator (it has a reference name but don’t remember it) where hot air meets cold air and the turbulance it creates is powerful enough to down a plane. This plane had to cross over that part of the ocean. It is all very Neptuny right now. And what about Chiron?
