A Moment of Chiron, or Notes from 6D

The following is from Planet Waves Astrology News, our subscriber edition published each Friday morning.

Dear Friend and Reader:

In my Planet Waves daily diary all week I’ve been commenting about the conjunction of Chiron and Neptune that is now within one degree, in late Aquarius. This is a ‘near-miss’ rather than an exact conjunction but it’s coming in at a nice strength. Neptune in Aquarius, which began in 1998 around when Bill Clinton was impeached, has been the perfect fodder for our whole “lie to me / why deal with it?” mentality that has been such fruitful soil for the Karl Roves and Dick Cheneys of the world to plant their fleurs de mal.

When Chiron arrived in 2005, I was certain that there would be a gradual public awakening that would peak as Chiron made its exact conjunction to Neptune. The current one is a near miss, which is at its closest on May 31, to within one-quarter of a degree. Chiron will go retrograde before the conjunction perfects, and the exact meeting will take place Feb. 17, 2010. Of note, this is shortly after the one and only contact of Saturn in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn that occurs in late 2009. The two events are connected.

Finally, there is one last near miss of Chiron and Neptune, also within one-quarter of a degree, on Nov. 3, 2010. (Tracy Delaney in Wales programmed the ephemeris where I am getting this information.)

For the current near-miss, Jupiter is there, so the last week of May we have a very close triple conjunction of Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune. This puts the two rulers of Pisces in a conjunction (Jupiter to Neptune, which happens about every 14 years). The prior cycle of Neptune to Chiron conjunctions was in 1879-1880, in Taurus. The next cycle starts in 2094, in Virgo. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and therefore it is astrology that will also define an era of history and mark the astrology of a sub-generation.

Usually we don’t notice these events until it’s over. However, as the Internet has begun to make information available to those who seek it, we can now work with transits like this while they are happening, and co-create their ‘meaning’ and explore their creative potential together.

  1. Antigone, check out Barbara Hand Clow’s book, “Alchemy of nine dimensions”, it runs through some pretty kick-ass shit on the subject.

    Happy trippings!

  2. Cato, you’re a Cap., you are the “rules”. Fire the old ones, they’re useless. Get rid of all that garbage now, and dominate (that’s a Cap.). All the harrah! aside… Of course, I do understand we are individuals within a collective, that has evolved to the point that we are born into a globally connected, codependent fashioning of society, where “the ladder” is in the hands of jerks. (It’s actually pretty cool to think, as a species, how far we’ve evolved, I find it to be pretty cool shit.) And that’s where you step into our story. Up for the task of evolving this sheise? Out of the hands of jerks, and into the most competent creations of a Capricorn?

Yeah, I know, vent…. the games are crazy, the people….. I don’t know how to describe it, but I have to smile and laugh at all the craziness, AND JUST PLAIN “WIERD SHIT!!!”, that people engage in!! It’s all so blissfully amusing! I have to take a massive broad view to not go nuts, doesn’t do much for the pocket book, but… I’m healthy, and I like kickin’ it with me. (Hey, I’m a Sag., Jup’s my cat…. it’s got a center, it’s sayin’ something. I think breath is very much connected, there’s a relaxation to expansion…)

Hope it’s cool to throw some out…

    You’ve got a kick-ass perspective,… just thought I’d share.

    (again he’s smiling?!?),

  3. Cato, I find you very wise. No wonder the old and tired gangster game holds no appeal. I really can’t suppport it myself. It only encourages them.

Thanks for your Jupiter 1 information. Not that I have a clue what it means. But I make a note.

  4. Well, Victoria, not crass but not where I needed to be in terms of (gasp) money 🙂 Still, I took everything out of the market one day and bought an expensive horse and called it my retirement 🙂 Saved me some big losses and contributed to my fun quotient.

What’s exhaulted in Capricorn? Isn’t that pain? Actually, I think it is Mars at 18 Capricorn (right on my sun).

Saturn is always a piece of cake for me, I’ve gotten used to the dentist’s drilling, digging and digging and digging. I just ignore it until it goes away. What is particularly painful seems to be Jupiter. I’ve lost more jubs when Jupiter has been active in my first house than anyone I know.

I’m getting old and very tired of this economy. I think I’ll fire it before it gets me no where 🙂

  5. Oh, I wanted to mention, at the height of my workplace frustration, I approached an executive and asked her what the hell was going on in the company. She told me she had no idea. I asked her how the hell she could lead. She replied that it is all smoke and mirrors. Had me fooled. I thought there was some kind of plan. The printed mission statement was just some gooey slime blob that was tiptoed around.

  6. Hey Cato, you didn’t lose those jobs, you were travelling to new ones. Please excuse if that seems crass, but my Sag node cold has cleared.

Was it on this site that I read Cap is all about restoring order. Good grief, where’s your relief?

But I guess we all got the Cap going on somewhere. And the times are getting our goat. Thanks for the pointer to Cap. Mine’s an empty third unless I want to deal with those irritating exo things. My Saturn is in the 1st. But I’m not going to go into that. Need to breathe for awhile.

What’s exalted in Cap? I know that is an elementary question. But is there anything there for you?

  7. More and more I feel at work (I am a Capricorn with mostly everything in Capricorn or the 10th house) that those in control have no idea of where they are going or what is happening with their workers. As a boomer, I have lost complete respect for the workplace, rules and the focus of work altogether. And yet, I feel completely unable to go along with the program, although I realize what the program is (sun opposed uranus – first to seventh). I know the rules and run up against them over and over because they make no sense. More and more, the rules make no sense…….I have lost more jobs in the past nine years…….because the rules have changed and the criminals are better dressed……My eyes are open, but I have not managed to generate an income to allow me to move into the new “rules” with comfort…………
