The Earth as Seen from Apollo 17
The Earth as Seen from Apollo 17. Original caption: "View of the Earth as seen by the Apollo 17 crew traveling toward the moon. This translunar coast photograph extends from the Mediterranean Sea area to the Antarctica south polar ice cap. This is the first time the Apollo trajectory made it possible to photograph the south polar ice cap. Note the heavy cloud cover in the Southern Hemisphere. Almost the entire coastline of Africa is clearly visible. The Arabian Peninsula can be seen at the northeastern edge of Africa. The large island off the coast of Africa is Madagascar. The Asian mainland is on the horizon toward the northeast."

  1. Such a beautiful sight! Imagine if “I” could play, whatever “reality” might swing about.. ..all over this ball.. “I could seriously have some fun!” ..and I’m positive others would too.

Enjoy the shit out of reality, it only gets better from here! (If you enjoy it.) (..Screw the negativity, be aware (as you choose) of the sheisse but, focus your life-force energy toward “personal freedom” and “personal awareness”, (quality sights).

“We” can take our sight and minds wherever we choose,.. this could be promising!?

    Catch ya in the Now,

  3. AN AFFIRMATION FOR PLANET EARTH
    Yoko Ono Lennon
    December 8, 2009

On the anniversary of the passing of my husband, John Lennon,
I would like you to share an affirmation with me.
Think it, say it, with firm belief,
knowing that we are all one.

In the name of truth, peace and love:
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Our planet is healthy and whole,
    We, the people of Earth
See clearly, Hear clearly, Think clearly.
Make the right judgement, right decision and the right move
For the benefit of our planet and others.

We are now bathing in the light of Dawn,
Standing in the Heaven we have created together,
    Sharing the Joy
    With all Lives on Earth
    And of the Universe,
As we are all one, united with infinite and eternal love.

For the highest good of all concerned, So be it.

    With all my love,
    yoko ono lennon

  4. today was the 37th anniversary of the original “big blue marble” photograph taken on the apollo 17 mission. it seemed to me a lovely reminder of what we’re hoping our leaders will decide to save in copenhagen.

“I left Earth three times. I found no place else to go. Please take care of Spaceship Earth.”
    — Wally Shirra, astronaut on Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo missions

“On the first day we all pointed to our countries. On the third or fourth day we all pointed to our continents. By the fifth day, we were aware of only one Earth.”

    — Sultan bin Salman Al Saud, astronuat from Saudi Arabia, after his flight into space in 1984.
