By the way — Saturn square Pluto is right now. This is an interesting chart, and I have not said much about it. At the moment of the exact square, event one (the second is Jan 31, 2010 and the third is Aug. 21, 2010), the Moon is conjunct Venus in Scorpio. The aspect is exact at 10:19 am EST — less than an hour from the time I am writing this.
That is a deeply passionate conjunction, as it brings together the two most common facets of our perception of feminine energy, mother and lover; or of you prefer, it resolves the nonexistent paradox that we so often perceive here. The Moon moves quickly; this is a hint of what can happen if we shift perspectives, or experiment with the idea that what we think of as opposites are not really opposites but contain one another.
The Sun is at 23+ Scorpio, exactly square Neptune and closely square Chiron. This to me is a reminder about being honest. Most of what we lie about is sex; it’s a compulsion, designed to either deny desire in order to protect our reputation; to deny experience to avoid scandal; or to keep ourselves safely stuck. These are the walls that most typically close in on us, when we’re sitting around wondering where our life has gone. Sun-Chiron can feel like being “less than a man” or the expectation that men will be so (perhaps like father was). Few aspects say daddy issues like Sun-Chiron, but with Neptune in the mix, we might make up a story or put on a glamor to help gloss it over. That gloss is now what is coming into focus, or rather, into question.
