Chiron in Action: Ellen Page Comes Out as Lesbian

By Elizabeth Michaud

Oscar-nominated actress Ellen Page, who turns 27 years old this Friday, came out as a lesbian on Friday in grand style — during a speech at the “Time to THRIVE” conference in Las Vegas, an event hosted by the Human Rights Campaign. Her emotional and inspirational words roused a standing ovation from the crowd and sent ripples through the Internet.

“I’m inspired to be in this room because every single one of you is here for the same reason: you’re here because you’ve adopted, as a core motivation, the simple fact that this world would be a whole lot better if we just made an effort to be less horrible to one another,” Page said, speaking to an audience of LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning) youth.

This is the first time Page has ever spoken openly about her sexuality.

In case anyone is wondering what astrology inspired this move, you can look right to Chiron. Page is in the midst of two rare Chiron transits — a conjunction to her natal Mercury, and a square to her natal Chiron position. Chiron’s conjunction to Mercury represents an inspiration to open up, admit what she feels and to speak her truth.

Chiron’s square to natal Chiron is a key life passage where many people reach a point of no return, a place in their growth from which they cannot turn back. This transit is currently happening to everyone born around Page’s era of birth. [See noon chart, and ‘coming out’ chart, on this chart file. We will answer questions about the charts below.]
