If the squares to Neptune made by the Sun and Mercury this week (Mercury-Neptune is exact today) have done their job constructively, you may have cleared out some psychic space in yourself regarding honesty and believing lies. If so, you’re in a great position to take advantage of this weekend’s Sun-Mercury-Uranus aspects, which offer a surge of inventive thought, perception and communication. Even if you’re not so sure how you’re doing in the honesty department, we’re nearing the midpoint of this period between two eclipses. That means the timing for this inventive energy couldn’t be more perfect.
Sure, ‘inventive thinking’ could be a euphemism for lying, but it could also mean envisioning some very creative ‘third option’ solutions to problems that appear caught in a false dichotomy. Here’s how the weekend’s astrology looks like it will support this:
On Sunday, Mercury conjoins the Sun in early Gemini. This is an aspect of quick wit and the ability to teach well – if you do so through speech and writing. So instead of simply thinking all your best thoughts to yourself, communicate them. Write them in your journal, if you’re trying to ‘teach’ yourself. Lay things out in an email or conversation with a friend. The reason you want to loosen your tongue is so that you don’t keep yourself ping-ponging within your own psyche. Give your brain an outlet, because Uranus is joining the picture – and The Great Awakener comes with a jolt of energy.
Mercury makes a sextile to Uranus in Aries later on Sunday, so that means it’s basically happening at the same time as the Mercury-Sun conjunction. Sextiles occur between signs of complementary elements (in this case, air and fire). They are known for their flowing quality – but you have to actively use the energy.
In the case of Mercury-Uranus, there are a couple of interesting things to keep in mind. One is that Uranus is the ‘higher octave’ of Mercury. That is, this sextile tunes our conscious mind to the ‘Universal Mind’. You can take that in a spiritual sense, but I think the most useful meaning of ‘spiritual’ is the idea that one’s truth needs to be acted upon; you’re only as enlightened as your engagement with the world around you is active. Mercury’s sextile to Uranus gets the planet of the mind talking to the Uranus-Pluto square, the big 2012 harbinger of evolution and revolution. The message is that as your perception and intuition quicken, so must your application of what you learn. If you’re taking Len’s advice from yesterday to observe your thinking and stay present, all this activity in mutable Gemini should help with the necessary flexibility.
On Monday, the Gemini Sun also makes a sextile to Uranus. The representative of self and life force in exchange with the cosmic light socket might sound like a lot to handle, but this aspect can have a strong impulse toward healing. Sun-Uranus themes include originality, independence, ingenuity and intuition. Again, however, the application of all this juice is up to you. Sextiles don’t walk around saving the world – or you – by themselves. Remember, also, this gets the Sun talking to the Uranus-Pluto square. What part of your changing environment do you want to apply your powers of ingenuity to?
It’s really ideal timing, because Monday also brings us the first quarter Moon. This is the halfway point between last weekend’s annular solar eclipse and the lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on June 4 – the day before Venus transits the Sun. We’ve been telling you for months these weeks would be highly charged with potential and move quickly. Are you beginning to feel it?
Take a little time this weekend to assess what may have surfaced for release or integration, or was initiated, last weekend. Where do you want to take it? If you’ve been consciously engaging in a dialogue between two halves of yourself since Sunday’s eclipse, take it deeper – try connecting it to the wider world. Lean on Mercury a little and be bold enough to say insights out loud or put them down in writing. Get your ideas out into the world, and get yourself ready to walk your talk in the coming weeks.

As far as the ticket, my confirmation came in a dream about two weeks ago. I found myself on an airplane in the front seat behind the pilot, with my ticket in hand. I started to panic because I thought if the plane crashed I would have no hope with where I was sitting. I almost changed seats, but realized I was in fear and decided to let it go. As we lifted off the runway and started to gain height, the pilot started talking to me – he suggested I look out the window and below me I could see trees and people. I don’t know if it was him telling me or me concluding this, but I came to realize that the trees and people weren’t real – they were ceramic. At that point the plane started to descend – I wasn’t too happy because wasn’t I supposed to be going somewhere? – just like I’ve been saying on this blog for a month! For whatever reason I knew to brace myself for impact and was expecting a hard smack. When we landed it was very soft – it was like landing in a pillow of dirt. This date has been brought back to me in a very pronounced way since May 2010, so I am of the belief it is highlighting today for me – I get what it is about, but will let it remain a mystery for now.

To answer your question from the other thread, the chart ruler is the ruler of the sign of the Ascendent, i.e. Aries Ascendent = Mars ruler, Taurus = Venus, Gemini = Mercury, and so on through the signs. Ruler of Ascendent = chart ruler. 🙂

Today is my brother’s 40th birthday. This is the brother I helpe raise. The brother I loved like my own child for a long time. The brother who thinks so little of me he comes to within 50 miles of my home and doesn’t even call me. He is a high-powered lawyer, our narcississtic mother’s Golden Child to my scapegoat. He got where he is because our mother supported him and his entire family for two years.
We are not close. I always wanted to be close but our mother (and his own stupidity) meant we would not be so. She did what so many N-mothers do; she made sure all three of her kids didn’t relate to one another much.
Now there is this theme here at PW; the theme of saying the truth. The radical honesty and now Mercury and Uranus and all that other stuff saying to walk the talk.
I have wanted to tell my brother things but every time I tried, he brushed me off and used his best most condescending voice each time he did so. He leaves me with the impression that he truly thinks he is smarter and better and more mature than I am. This from a man who has put money before everything and everyone else. His money doesn’t make him happy but he pursues it anyway; a legacy left him from our older brother and our mother (who married for money last year).

I’ve seen the Great Attractor “draw” the same energy in my family. . both my mom’s and my son’s birthcharts had major planets either conjunct or very close to the GA, and it did seem to bring out those extremes in the people they met…..love and hate. Huffy’s observations regarding the usefulness of having to deal with jerks or losers is a reminder that life on Earth is a training period in our (hopefully) upward movement and development. Quaoar was opposite Venus in the chart for last Sunday’s Solar Eclipse, a teaching event if ever there was one. It would seem that Quaoar’s discovery location implies “. .that man must learn to weld (wield?) the twin forces of creation and destruction in accord with natural law.” He being in Sagittarius and Venus in Gemini, this would involve Venus’ rulership over values and possessions in the form of ideas vs. something danced into existence of a world-wide philosophical nature. Say Facebook stock for instance. As Venus plays such a prominent role in the astrology of our present times, and she’s in the sign of the twins, as was the Solar Eclipse, it would be a good thing to know her strategy. Len told us a week or so ago that she would make 3 passes over (opposite) Quaoar’s discovery degree during her stay in Gemini. The next one will be on June 15th, one week after she opposes the Great Attractor.
Since Judith’s column wasn’t posted yet, I will say here on this thread that in addition to the huge astrological events in June we’ve been talking about, there are small aspects in between them that could benefit us by being aware of them. These could be among them. Regarding Quaoar. . “Quaoar prominent in a chart or contacted through hard planetary aspect would bring about a necessary cleansing of old demons, and initiation into a shamanistic participation in life.” Well, if you don’t want to necessarily go that far, at least the cleansing of old demons would surely help to make life better. So remember these dates when Venus will be drawing or be drawn by creative and little understood energies, June 8 (opposite the Great Attractor), June 15 (opposite Quaoar’s discovery degree) and at the end of July she will again oppose transiting Quaoar. Choose wisely between the forces of creation and destruction.
Also you might want to take note that, regarding the Facebook IPO (a symbol of our times in itself), the Solar Eclipse chart had Phaethon (reckless son of Apollo who set the world on fire) conjunct Vesta (investments) square Atlantis (technology). Opposite Atlantis was Persephone (stolen child. . Facebook?). It is one signal, with more to come, of the revolution we will experience in how business and banking and government is conducted. Dishonestly and greed will no longer be tolerated, and that is what Venus, who represents our values, will be bringing to the forefront as she passes before the Sun of Human Consciousness in her occultation next month. Patty – the farmer’s prez and his wife (isn’t that a song?) -are clearly real jerks, and could do with a few locally grown carrots in relevant places. But I know from my own experience that it’s my most difficult relationships/encounters with people that also tell me a lot about myself and my ‘issues’. I’ve been going on and on about my boss on these pages – but I know that my dynamics with her are things I’m carrying from childhood patterns – that maybe, finally, are being released. There are endless reasons why we get embroiled with difficult people/jerks – but I think it’s always useful to stop for a minute to check into how we really feel, what is being set off in us by the unpleasantness coming from that person. More often than not it will give us an insight into something we feel about ourselves, or something we are carrying from the past.

I think you are right, because come to think of it my husband has a lot of people who either love him unconditionally, or not at all – doesn’t seem to be a lot of middle ground. He is a 14 Sag artist and craftsman with a very strong sense of right and wrong. He doesn’t mince words. Someone asked me about 30 years ago if he was still a jerk. I was totally wounded by the remarks but kept quiet. The very next day, the man hanged himself! Maybe if I had voiced some equally intolerant rage, he would have had something to focus on besides himself? Anger can be useful too.
It is like the GC is sitting in a space where you tell your truth, or create your vision, and people either respond by loving it, or they loathe it. Autistics have a lot of trouble with that. Children get into trouble for being ‘tattle tales’ but they can’t help themselves. They are also extremely creative. Now I wonder if they all have a strong GC connection too. I’ll have to mind my manners, because Uranus is going to be sitting fairly close to my mars for quite a long time, and that is 12 aries, and mercury is close-by too. I’m keeping my mouth shut until after the eclipse!

Well Patti, like aword, I wonder if you too are having some direct contact with transiting Uranus, which comes with the watchwords “expect the unexpected”. Good grief indeed, the Farmers Market President sounds like the proverbial Emperor with No Clothes; just doesn’t want to hear the truth.
On the other hand The Great Attractor plays a small part in your woes with “losers” too, as it is either conjunct or opposite your Juno and QB1. The GA at 14+ Sagittarius is a mysterious (to us Earthlings) spot in the cosmos that has a powerful, powerful gravitational pull, and people with a connection to it in their birth chart will be loved (or hated) for their knowledgability.
Stephanie Austin in the Mt. Astrologer magazine says this regarding the June 4 Lunar Eclipse conjunct the GA: “Alignments with this super-powerful source of gamma rays, radio waves, and other forms of eletromagnetic energy opens up a wormhole (a shortcut in time and space), enabling us to grasp things ordinarily beyond our field of perception.” So maybe the FM prez will also come to realize that you are only trying to help him. Hello Be! My juno and QB1992 is conjunct the eclipse next week so I’ve been a little concerned about that. But now i’m deep in a shit storm with a farmers’ market prez, who says he just resigned last night because of me. I was like, WTF, because my question was quite simple, but he read it to mean I was planning a takeover. Good grief! The guy is a little on the creepy side, but today his wife started in on me. I keep wondering why I draw all losers, male and female. He removed me from the mailing list a year ago when I wrote back to a scathing email, but i have been getting the info from someone else regarding events and rules. Last saturday, i looked at their new brochures and signs and there was incorrect information (dates, addresses) on all, so I wrote a helpful email offering to proofread. Why is it that the little things just jump up and smack the daylights out of you? They are all acting like it is not only MY fault, but my daughter’s fault too. Excuse us for living!

Thanks for the good advice PW, and if, like me, you plan on starting your celebrating early on this holiday weekend here’s some friction to help get the sextiles (and grills) working. ?Don’t be “surprised” if they come out of nowhere either, thanks to Uranus. Mercury will form the short leg of a T-square with the opposing Neptune in Pisces to Hebe in Virgo.
Suppose, say, you are grilling the burgers (Hebe) to serve for lunch today and somebody has been hitting the sauce already. I should mention that Bacchus is also conjunct Neptune, so it could get roudy. Anyway, Mercury steps in with a pithy comment and BAM, you have jumpstarted the Uranus sextile. . . or it might just come a few days later. Those resulting scattered pieces (regrettable words or hamburger) will be scooped up by Isis who opposes Uranus and trines the south node (pitch ’em!), Sun and Mercury. Of course, Isis and Uranus are T-square Pluto who may want to bury those pieces for a later discussion, and since he is in a grand trine with Mars and Vesta it will probably smolder for a day as right now Phaethon is conjunct Vesta and fanning her flame, reckless devil that he is.

This date of May 27 has been brought to my attention very strongly. It is apparently a mucho important date. I don’t know if I have related this dream through here before, if so you are getting a recap. I had the dream during Easter Full Moon in 2008.
I was driving with friends. I needed the bathroom and we stopped at a mall. When I went into the mall, the entire place was in demolition – rubble and cements chunks everywhere. I walked through it all, came to a little river crossing that had very slippery rocks (almost slid in). It was then that I noticed a man following along beside me, and I sensed that he was security keeping his eye on me. We reached a large wall and had to climb a blue metal ladder to get up. My security guard went first and I remember commenting that this was a really difficult climb and I couldn’t imagine little old ladies being able to do it. When I got to the top another wall was in front of me. I turned to the right and I was presented with a black purse. I knew that all the material wants I would ever want was in that purse. I knew it was someone else’s purse, I knew I could take it without anyone knowing. I was tempted for a split second, then said to myself “This isn’t how I want to get this stuff” and turned to the right again.
Well, standing in front of me (I was in a balcony) was a theatre the height of the sky. It was ornately done up with red velvet curtains and adorned with gold. I knew immediately that it was God’s stage. I looked down and many silvery people were filing in to take their seats. I knew the Greatest Show On Earth was about to begin. I looked to my right again and there was a clock on the wall – it read 5:27 (I misinterpreted this for a couple of years as 6:30 until a few months ago when I was getting ready for a tv show at 5:30 – I looked at the clock and was instantly returned to this dream and the hands of the clock in the same positions of 5:27).
I turned to the security guard and asked “Do you know what time it starts?” He just shrugged at me. The last scene of the dream was me looking back over the balcony and saying “I gotta get a ticket”.
Apparently I got my ticket as a dream confirmed two weeks ago. Will write more later about all this and my rocket launch from yesterday. Gotta take the dog to the vets.

Was feeling a lot of momentum coming out of the solar eclipse, then tuesday i got an intense fever and I’ve been in bed sick until this morning.
