    Fe: Thank you. In agreement with you. One thing that has come up lately – just when did the term “working class” become the Pubs code for “white”? That’s outrageous.

  2. I was a little shocked to learn how much money is spent on food stamps in my county, which is mostly rural. The figure was in multi-millions. It shows the unemployment or underemployment numbers are probably inaccurate, but only the Food and Drug Administration knows for sure I suppose (they control food stamps).

    That Ron Paul statement sounds like it may have been a bit of his irony, taken out of context. But what else is new.

  3. I do understand there are more in Red States on welfare rolls than in blue states. I guess “welfare royalty” does not have a liberal bias.

    As Jen says, divide and conquer is a tried and true method of getting people to agree to your fleecing them some more.
