I’m a news junkie, and your astrology news association resonates with me. I think back to the Scorpio days last year when the military sex scandals were revealed. Your interpretation, explanation, and commentary make the puzzle all come together. As always, your articles teach, entertain, and inform, what a wonderful gift you share, you make us feel “personally relevant.”
Your incredible horoscope writing talent is such an inspiration, Eric. When I first began studying astrology, I too fell for the consensus opinion that horoscopes were somehow tarnishing astrology’s image, but your work has really changed my view significantly.
Reading a natal horoscope is such a complex task, but truthfully, from my own attempts at writing Sun sign horoscopes, I have to say that it’s equally if not more so challenging. It takes incredible skill and intuitive insight to do what you do.
I love the view that the horoscope is written for that person who just happens to read it. True divination is just that: a message for those that are looking for it when they need it the most. This insight has had such a positive impact on my own writing and my work as an astrologer.

Congrats on #1000! Eric, you have a gift for writing horoscopes and for teaching astrology. All of us are incredibly lucky to have you and to have Planet Waves as part of our lives. I cannot imagine the past ten years without your written and spoken voice as part of it.
I found Eric through the Jonathan Cainer website all those years ago, and have been following his writings ever since. It has been a privilege to undertake such a journey, and to participate in the growing and beautiful project that is Planet Waves is an even greater one.

I really like the point regarding horoscopes as a form of personalizing news– “a way to deliver up-to-the-day psychological and spiritual information, packaged as a form of inner news.” I think that’s a very insightful description of what astrology offers people, and it’s funny how what can feel so intensely personal really describes so many.
