Every edition of Planet Waves FM I forget to mention one thing — and unlike text, I cannot do a quick edit before sending it out. This week that thing is the role of religion in the current government crisis. I mention that a bunch of Fundy Xtians — Dominionists, as they are properly known — are behind this. What I don’t make is the connection to their “let’s take a federal default out for a spin” mentality.
They know it would be catastrophic; and that is what they live for. Things going well is not enough. Getting their way is not enough — their way is The End. This is why the founders of the United States divided church and state, not just in the Bill of Rights but in the Constitution itself.

Our musical guest is Kris Perry and his MACHINES project. I describe my experience of the music-sculpture installation, meeting Kris and why I think the whole thing is so impressive. Kris is a genuinely interesting guy, an artist down to his cells, and sufficiently “not a musician” to have invented many instruments and what amounts to a new genre of music. This bill, however, will be passed by the House and signed by the president with the Moon in Aries.

Is the Senate deal being signed and sent to the house under a Void of Course Moon?
It would seem to fit the whole astrology, actually, as well as the governmental breakdown we’re in. The deal is already set up so that vulnerability to another coup persists.
I cannot help but wonder if there is any recurring, long term VOC moon pattern/influence in the political arena…
Where I think you are wrong is in claiming it is a dominionist mentality. That mentality is actually everywhere you look, including some of the opinions expressed by many people on your pages as they put down one group after another. No offense intended, it’s just the way everyone seems to roll these days. If you expressed it as a bullying mentality, I couldn’t agree more. What I think is missing is spanking. The teachers can’t spank kids who bully and prank and their parents think they have to be their best friend instead of the parent. So what happens? Two young girls charged in Florida today for bullying a girl to death. Everything in the world seems senseless to me right now. Everyone’s blaming everyone but themselves. But what do we do? We all eat meat, buy bakery goods, make-up, clothes, phones and computers – all things that destroy something or someone or someone’s favorite pet. I don’t know how to re-focus the world’s attention, but by golly it needs to happen soon. Dagnabbit (thanks for resurrecting that word Mystes). Tonight began the Day of Atonement. I so wish everyone would meditate.
