Yesterday, I had a revelation about why there is so much energy in our society, and in our individual lives, put into denying, struggling with and resisting what is so plainly a beautiful experience. We don’t just repress pleasure and desire; we also repress the considerable pain we are in about the state of our lives, our past, our relationships, our jobs, and living under constant psychological, financial and emotional stress. If we open up to pleasure, we also open up to all other feelings; so, in general, we hold tend to all of it down as a survival method. But herein lies the secret to sexuality as a healing art. Please, dare to be whole.
