Without a doubt.
But underneath that is that too many people feel powerless. If one doesn’t feel like one has the power to change anything, then, from that POV, there’s little point to developing and using one’s intelligence and intuition, to solve problems. Victim thinking – not enough rebelliousness and willingness to stand alone, learn what needs doing, then have faith in oneself to be able to carry it out, riding out the inevitable bumps.
Way too much squashed potential.
