Two Capricorn Moons

My friends Karen Pardini and Christopher McGregor Sunday afternoon. Karen is the matriarch of the Grandmother Land in High Falls, New York (many photos are on the Book of Blue website). They were working on responding to yet another lawsuit filed against them by the venerated Mohonk Preserve, which is trying to "preserve" 70 acres of their land. They spent Sunday collecting signatures on affidavits as their attorneys in Kingston spent the day in the office preparing for a major filing of paperwork due Monday. Karen's partner Michael Fink is in the far background. Oh -- and Karen, who is part Native American, is invoking Elk medicine using an ancient Shamanic technique. On an astrological note, I am constantly inundated by people with the Capricorn Moon. One thing I can tell you about them is how little they have in common, except for instance how much I love them. 1. A mohonk is a good thing to have under the hood?

Your writing brings me new understanding of two lovers on a secluded walk. My mother she is funny alright.

  2. Chris has Cap Sun and Moon. He is absolutely brilliant at antique deeds. The handwritten kind, that describe links of chain and tree stumps and metes and bounds. He can put them together like he wrote them himself. That is why Karen and Michael keep winning their cases; he knows how to assemble the map correctly and Mohonks’s pretend deeds don’t check out. I just love that he is so Capricorn and expresses his sign in this way.
