There’s a little problem in my neighborhood — an underground stream is washing away the rock and earth beneath the ground, causing sinkholes here and there. The city seems to have no money to fix the problem and its engineers don’t know what to do. Maybe they should call the Town of New Paltz for some advice. My friend Renato DiBella’s pizzeria is right on this street. Since I don’t eat pizza (I would be there twice a week otherwise) I thought I would post this story-in-a-photo. — Eric Francis
