Editor’s Note: I came thisclose to missing the anniversary of The Beatles’ “Rubber Soul,”В my mom’s favorite, and the first Beatles album I ever heard. Even now, when I hear it, I’m back to twirling around in my dad’s office chair (the den had the best speakers), staring at the cover for hours and falling in love with John Lennon. Anyway, Rubber Soul was released 43 years ago today, if you can believe it. Here’s a live performance of “Nowhere Man,” one of the deepest songs on the album. –RA
