Note, the Cancer birthday report has been distributed to our subscribers. Friday’s edition will look at the Sibley Chart of the United States (the July 4 chart).
Before I forget, here is a really interesting article sent by Ursula in the Toronto area. It’s about the staggering amount of credit card debt in the United States and elsewhere.
Dear Friend or Cyborg:
Today is Tuesday, July 1, 2008. You are still alive. The Moon is still in Gemini and we are approaching the Cancer New Moon. This is a lunation designed to draw you deep into your feelings and also into your ability to seed and gestate life. The life you gestate occurs primarily in your feelings. Most humans here in the early 21st century — most as in more than 51% (substantially more) are so consumed by anxiety that it’s unlikely they notice their feelings at all. How are you doing with this one?

Checking the metaprogram of astrology, the random factor (the Oracle, see below) has tossed out some information from October of 2004 regarding Chirion and Nessus stationing direct in Aquarius.
That could easily be read as an ocean of public anxiety, of which we all partake at some time or another. Aquarius has obvious symbolic references to the public airwaves and the sphere of consciousness into which they project themselves.
The programming mostly consists of violence and frustrated sexual situations, which are heavily interspersed with ads promising you a perfect life if you buy a Volvo. The solution and the problem are presented as one package, distracting us from anything else we might have going on, such as everything.
What might everything include? Mercury opposing Juno is likely to be calling attention to some tension in a domestic situation, but the precision of the aspect today suggests that it can be worked out in direct conversation or perhaps already has. If it’s persisted this long, you can expect it to come to a head soon. And that is likely to mean some kind of heated discussion that is oriented on the past; this will be useless.
Add Mars to Virgo and we have the perfect setup for a situation that is so bogged down in the details that the light of day cannot shine into the room. All those instruction manuals for life are stacked up on the windowsills.
Mars is approaching Saturn, and the aspect is exact on July 10. This is to say, it’s going to take 10 days for Mars to move five little degrees and make a conjunction to Saturn in Virgo. Those 10 days begin now. This to me looks like an exercise in seeing whether facts really do add up to the truth; and when it appears they do not, taking the whole pile of them and putting them on a fire.
Taken on a more aware level, it’s possible that Mars-Saturn combined will move some stuck mental energy. Notice the mental patterns that annoy you the most and see if you can remain aware of them. Where Virgo is concerned, for most of us that will equate to self-criticism and anxiety.
Okay, so what’s with all the anxiety? Has anyone considered that we seek out anxiety-inducing sources of data so that we keep the flow of adrenalin going? Which, by the way, is an addictive substance, so it’s going to make the source of the data that prompts it into an addictive substance. We don’t necessarily like how we feel under the influence of, for example, night after night of the Irak war, struggles with partners or loved ones, or the drama at the office; but we’re hooked on it. It’s a dependable source of cortisone.
To me, Mars conjunct Saturn in Virgo is saying, there has to be a better way.
Yours & truly,
Orcale takes us to Oct. 01, 2004, Capricorn – weekly
Chiron and Nessus (two planets in the centaur group) have recently turned to direct motion in your birth sign. That’s the signal that you’ve spent enough time dealing with some serious past issues and can now turn your attention to the present. Just in time, too, because you’re being offered quite a few possibilities for improving your lot in life. Promotions of any kind would be natural, for example. You just need to remember that you’re healthy enough to finally make some big changes and take on a new level of responsibility. Yes, you may bear a sense of vulnerability from certain events in recent history, events which may have taught you that life is risky and unpredictable. But not so bad as you think.
