Happy Bastille Day: some drumming for the Full Moon
This is a protest from 2005 that took place in the Bastille Circle, the monument to the French revolution in Paris. High school students protesting budget cuts figured out that officers were not going to hurt them. Young women protesters here are drumming riotously on riot shields, performing one version of the celestial dance of spring. Photo by Eric.
