Friday: Sun conjoins Mars and other Exciters of the Sky

Dear Friend and Reader,

The official title of this entry was going to be something like “What happens when you light your bed on fire with a sun beam and a glass,” but that was too long. Suffice it to say what’s going on in the sky might be about as exciting to me as the upcoming Capricorn New Moon, and just as awe-inspiring as the just-passed Venus-Jupiter conjunction which I hope everyone got a chance to salute. Not only does the Sun conjoin with Mars today, but they do so with the Great Attractor as the looming backdrop and Ixion adding his gusto too. If that wasn’t enough to put my head in the clouds of contemplation, Mercury is also pressing a square against Uranus and Vesta is entering Aries. The breakdown of these energies goes something like this:

The Sun and Mars are in a conjunction today with Ixion and the Great Attractor. Here you have Ixion, which Eric has delineated as the part of a person that is capable of anything, including violent aggression towards another or towards the self in a manner that stops change from occuring. Mars the battle lord with the Sun glinting off his helmet seems like a pretty intimidating energy: it is the aspect which describes a state of mind where one knows EXACTLY what must be done and how to do it better than anyone else. If you throw in the Great Attractor, that big mystery of the sky that bends space and time and draws everything towards it at about 200,000 miles per hour, the situation can get pretty confusing.

It might look like a situation in which you find yourself with the heavy hand, or needing the heavy hand, or fleeing the heavy hand or not knowing where the heavy hand is coming from. Simply put, this aspect speaks to the dynamics of power and submission.

It’s like this: you have found yourself in a situation where you are the underling of a boss from Hell. Or, you hear someone whispering by the water jug that you are too bossy to be much fun and everyone is walking around on eggshells whenever you are near. Both of these situations have to do with trust and control. Do you trust your boss, for example, to use you as a valuable resource for furthering the projects you are working on? Do you trust that your relationships are where they should be? Do you trust that those around you are as capable as you are? If you disappeared tomorrow what would fall apart, and what would serve as a memorial of your power as a valuable human being?

Vesta is entering Aries — that looks to me like the image of the cold hearth being rekindled. I see a woman kneeling there, building a nest of kindling, throwing a spark and tending to the fire for the purpose of the fire and her warmth alone. Aries is the sign in which things are born, they are solitary in the respect that they have finally come into existence as embodied matter. The fire would burn for a little while without the woman being there, but eventually it would burn down and disappear, similar to what would happen to an infant if it was left alone. The room would be dark and eventually cold. It is up to the woman, or man, alone, to tend this fire for the sole purpose of the survival of both.

Coupled with the fireworks going off in Sagittarius right now, it seems to me that Vesta entering Aries highlights a situation of self-tending. Perhaps there needs to be a bit more reliance on the self, or trust in the inherent value of the self.

Finally, we have Mercury pushing a square with Uranus, which my sources tell me is the aspect of a rebellious, eccentric mind. Thought patterns have a wonderful way of jumping into reality the moment we think them. It’s possible that this aspect will help in fleshing out some of the weirder ideas about what’s going on, how much we know and who is in power. I don’t really know what I am going to do under this aspect, but I am going to take care to be as aware of my surroundings as much as possible. It must be the mouse in me.

Merry Met,

Genevieve

  1. Genevieve, this was too accurate. My mother had to put her two dogs (sick and old) to sleep today for too many reasons to go into – but many heavy hands at work here.
I am really worrying about the full moon coming up too.

  2. oh wordedgewise, you are at a good place. If only, if only these local issues would stop.

Per the local paper, “The ordinance would give the building inspector or any police officer the right to come on to private property to inspect the condition of the property.

    Proposed Regulation:

Every window and door must keep insects out.
Every door and window that opens must have a screen.
Every foundation, roof, exterior wall, window and floor must be weather tight and rodent proof.
Exterior walls could not have holes, loose boards or any broken, cracked or damaged finish.
Business owners would have to clean up their premises daily.
Property owners would have 24 hours to remove animal feces.”

Furthermore, “The ordinance would give the village significant powers and the ordinance would include buildings in deteriorating condition, and those that might become so in the future.” Pre-emptive lady bug search. What a way to get in. The witch hunt is proposed. How to intervene.

This is so the wrong direction. Searching homes.

I feel it too, but Hitler just won’t let me alone. And I talked to the villagers but they are afraid to speak for fear of being targetted. I am outside the limits, but I just can’t let them slide into this.

Thanks for the reminder. Enjoy. I am on two wavelengths at the same time. But all to the same end.

  3. I have far too many stories to tell, far too many experiences to share to even begin sharing in this space at this time.

Suffice it to say: it all fits. The astrology. The events. My life.

    It all fits.

The air is clear. The night is cold. I can see the stars clearly for the first time in centuries. They reflect the spark that my soul has held dear in some deep hidden place – so that in this “moment” it could rekindle, brought forth again to heat and light a place no longer in desire of darkness.
