Here is tonight’s feature film. It’s a vintage propaganda piece. A sex blogger named Ed Strong on the outskirts of Paris posted it to his website this week. Wow…I didn’t know that very few blind people join nudist colonies. I guess that will be the subject this week’s fact-checking competition.

Don’t you love how he lumps homosexuals with “deviants?” That line of thinking is STILL ongoing today. People still think that kids will “become” homosexuals if they read sexual material and that being a homosexual is “bad.” This kind of thinking must be fought at every turn.
He makes the point that kids are curious about sex which is why they want to look at the “filth” as he calls it. Yet he misses the point that if these same kids were taught about sex in a normal way (talking about it like we talk about anything else and without the religious persecution overtones) they wouldn’t be wanting to look at those kinds of magazines as much. So if the focus was on preventing kids from looking at or reading the sexual materials, sex education that really educates would have been the way to go.
The same Judeo-Christian “values” he alludes to include the mistreatment of women and the having of slaves.
This video shows that the so-called violent sexual depictions are not new; they have been around for a long time.
The biggest point he makes is where he mentions that the so-called “illegitimate” children cost taxpayers “one billion dollars a year.” With these self-professed “Christian” types, it ALWAYS comes down to money. Always. We still hear this in American newscasts about natural or man-made disasters; they always mention the cost of the disaster, sometimes even before they mention the dead or injured. This is not something other countries do; it is an American thing. Money is the real God in this country and especially among a certain group of Right-wing Christians. Just the other day, Dave and I noticed that a previously famous and well-known Christian is on TV advertising that “we should buy gold to guarantee our family’s security in these times;” the very times they are eagerly awaiting the “rapture” that is supposed to take them up to heaven so why the focus on gold? If they are awaiting their rapture then why hoard gold and money? The hypocrisy is staggering.
He mentioned again the money the “racket” is making on these sexual venues. I think there’s a jealousy there of the profit margins.
I also love his assumption that “normal” equals a “happy married life.” Such bullshit.
The underlying assumption that “everyone ” in America is “God-fearing” is also telling.
I find it hilarious that the magazine “Rapture” shows up when Mr Putnam is speaking about the Judeo-Christian heritage.
once a mind is expanded,
it is impossible for it to return to it’s original dimension 😉
isn’t that a funny word? It’s like…colonizong the Clothed World.
Haven’t seen the video yet, but had to share that as a nudist, one joke we do have with the textile world is: “We gave up the word ‘colony’ with the lepers.” 🙂
