Conjunctions in Aquarius and Pisces

As mentioned, we are experiencing two exact planetary conjunctions now — Chiron to Neptune, and Mars to Uranus. One is a slow-moving, generational conjunction that has taken many years to form. The other is something that happens about every two years, the orbital cycle of Mars. (There is a third, in Capricorn as I write: Moon conjunct Pluto, which will pass by this morning but which may leave its energetic mark on the day.)

Conjunctions (as we have seen this year, when there have been many of them) can be overwhelming, and they can take some effort to sort out. It’s also not easy to blend energies in the way that they imply. And overall they represent a focus and an increase in the energy level, which is challenging because it can come with “negative” and “positive” manifestations.

The pace of technology and of our schedules (which are related) often compel us to act like high-performance machines. There is always more to do. We rarely question the environment we are in. Chiron to Neptune (which is gradually being joined by Jupiter) is the one that really seems like a question: a gesture of holding to the light the incredible disinformation campaign we’ve been exposed to for the past decade. If Mars-Uranus is a question, it’s about the chaos we are being subjected to on a constant basis — of ideas, advertising, and the pain of the world.

I am wondering what happens to the more organic side of our nature, in the midst of this tirade: the aspect that needs human comfort to feel like we belong on the planet. In many respects, even that has been turned into a product. In a way, this ‘saves’ us from actual vulnerability. In this environment, it’s easier to fake it than it is to explore the real thing. After a while, people do start to forget what that is.
