Dear Friends and Readers:
There is a need for a good, basic astrology website, and I want to provide that need to the community. The writing exists, amidst the thousands of articles I’ve published in the past 15 years. For Planet Waves, the missing piece is a devoted editing team who is capable and willing, topic by topic, to find the information and bring it to the surface, where it can be crafted into a new content stream.
I would love nothing more than to pause and do this, however I am blessed with the responsibility of creating new content on a continuing basis. What I can provide is a vision and a framework for the project. I can help teach certain skills, to people who have the basics of research and compilation. Let’s put together a small volunteer team that works together to create this project.
To be suited for this work, you need to be the patient, thorough type of reader: the kind who reads anything with a pen in your hand. You need to be the kind of person that pauses to decide whether you want to go out or do something focused and productive. You need to be modestly to highly organized. You need to be the kind of person who persists through challenges. You need a good computer and continuous access to the Internet. You need to be willing to stick with the project for the long run. It will take time to get your bearings.
And you’ll need a good sense of intuition because that’s what it takes to navigate my sprawling body of work.
The rewards of a job well done will be tremendous — to the community, to the online astrology tradition, and to help build a platform that a new generation of my astrology writing will be based on. In the process, you will learn a lot about astrology, and prepare your mind to learn more.
For those who have ever said they wish they could study astrology directly with me, here is your chance.
Please drop me a note at dreams-at-planetwaves.net if you’re interested.
With love from Eris, and the Moon conjunct my natal Mercury —
Dude, I’ll call Chels tomorrow, monday, I’m going to finally pick up my own subscription. Your work is fantastic. Thank you, friend. All ways.
Christine F., I haven’t forgotten, your kindness has not gone unrecognized.
Myst, you’ve a drawing in the wind as well. (Time’s a weird fucker, Eh?!) (I’m almost there..)
Love and Peace
Jere
That is normal, day to day costs: basic payroll, taxes, web upkeep, accounting, basic equipment. And actually it’s pretty cheap. And actually it’s amazing that we don’t take advertising; we don’t have investors except for me; we are entirely subscriber supported.
A lot of my time is spent in various “marketing” projects: it’s a challenge to explain the simple idea that if people want quality content, we each need to contribute a little bit and the project will grow exponentially. The less time i spend on “marketing” the more time and energy I can give back in creative content, including guiding the work of others.
Whether you count our annual budget or the $1.60 a week that it costs to subscribe, we are an incredible bargain. By my reckoning, about 3% of all visitors to Planet Waves become subscribers. Many people come for years, planning to subscribe, deliberating as if it were buying a house! Dear readers: please make the commitment, and get us onto the next level of or mission — while you experience the benefit of premium content. We are not asking for a “donation” but rather availing yourself of my best work, with the understanding that it makes all of what you read here possible.
..So, operational? Not a special, odd, unique, (something perhaps a little outside the norm of human relations?) realm of resource allocation, that accompanies the theme of Planetwaves, being the outsider who has the In?
Hey dude, I finally went income, versus poverty!
Thanks for all the words over the many years. I do Love you dearly! Let’s see where we can trip from Here! Eh!
Love
Jere
It’s for giving money to Planet Waves.
Based on a 40-hour week, it costs $95 an hour to keep our services up and running.

This will be excellent.
I wish.. I had the faculties in line. I’d do it in a heartbeat,.. if I wasn’t such a lush.
But, I know where I’m at, and it’s no good space for the teller…
I’ve got a quick question, what is the “Support Planet Waves” widget for? Are there any specific plans meant for that property? I think it’s cool, perhaps I missed the announcement but, do you have plans for that fundage?
