Banksy explains why Planet Waves doesn’t take advertisements

Planet Waves has had an ad-free policy from the beginning (that was 1998). In this new piece, street-artist Bansky explains what motivates us. I’ve tried to explain it many times, but he gets the essence in a few words. Instead of ads, we offer site memberships and reasonably priced, very nice astrology products that are designed to help you understand your life and feel good about who you are. You get what you pay for, and are left feeling whole, respected and loved. You could say that’s the opposite of advertising.
