  1. Magma (Cardinal Fire) rising through a fissure (Mutable Earth) under a glacier (Fixed Water) into the finite atmosphere (Fixed Air) filling it with ash particles (Fixed Earth). Aries, Virgo, Scorpio, Aquarius, and Taurus.

    Also, this event is already affecting food distribution in the short term, and may affect food production in the long term. (Ceres conjunct Pluto in Cardinal Earth)

  2. Sorry for writing so many times.

    What about Chiron? It is about to leave Acquarius. As Eric said, Chiron can create an illness-crisis and the healing to it. Acquarius is air (air somewhat mixed with water!). And the two planets connected with Acquarius, Saturn and Uranus, are in opposition in Virgo-Pisces, earth-water.
    I don’t know, but it feels connected in some way.
    And the fire element? Mars in Leo, going slowly…
    Well, I’m not an astrologer.

    Transportation is getting paralyzed, thousands of people are in endless lines at train stations. Travelling, by air, is an acquarius thing too.

    Yes all all four sign are involved together.

    I am contemplating this from the perspective of Thema mundi. Eric, thanks for the minor planets info for Cancer. I know some of them. I will look up the rest, hopefully will be able to describes what I am thinking.

    This morning I read another news about “Plastic Soup Found in Atlantic Ocean”

    This about finding plastic garbage across the Atlantic for 1000 of miles.

  6. Asha, you make a good point about cardinal activity seemingly in all the signs except Cancer. It’s true that there are no major planets in Cancer. Here is a list of minor planets in the first 10 degrees. The slow mover is Krosnos, a hypothetical point. Calculations by Tracy@serennu.

    Thanks for sharing this. I am having a very disturbing vibe after reading this. May be because I am both water and fire sign. Astrologically If I am understanding 2010 correctly, then among the four cardinal signs, Cancer (i visualize ocean when I think of cancer) is under pressure from rest of the three signs. I can not explain what it is but there is something in the making. Clouds have relationship with ocean too. I am not able to find words to articulate what is on my mind but I will keep trying.

  9. Hello Everybody,
    I don’t know if usa news talk about this subject, but an interesting thing is happening in Europe in these days. All the ‘flying space’ is closed because of a big black cloud formed after the eruption of a volcano in Iceland a few days ago. The eruption took place under a glacier, and the melted ice mixed with the lava originated some chemical compound that originated a black cloud that is actually floating around in the sky above Europe. The metallic powder that the cloud is made of can block airplane motors, thus the flight blockage, one country after the other. Today all Europe skies are free of airplanes and people flying.

    The pictures are quite impressive, unfortunately I couldn’t copy any link, but you can find them on online newspapers.

    It made me reflect: Mother Earth wants to remind us that air, sky, atmosphere need to stay clean and not only the Planet? They are saying that this flights stop is going to be much bigger than the one after Sept.11.
    It also reminded me of the ‘three days of darkness’ some Masters talked about.

    Any astrological hint?
