Today’s Oracle takes us to the Libra weekly for May 14, 2004.

The dividing line between success and failure is often the ability to push, and that requires the ability to believe in oneself. You need both now, though I would start with healthy ambition. Generally you are way too sweet to aspire to great things, and you invest most of your ambition into taking care of people. You’ve worked that way for a long time; you can afford to set that policy aside for a while and concentrate on something that calls for an unusual degree of striving. Remember, no matter what you do, everyone around you will benefit, so do something big while you can.
Note, The Oracle is a random selection from the Eric Francis horoscope archives. Each day we publish one entry from among the 10,000 in our database. It’s a little slice of horoscope history — but chosen by our Oracle program, which always speaks to the present moment. New horoscopes are published each Friday plus twice a month in Planet Waves subscriber edition and Planet Waves Light. And for your 2012 annual reading, you’ll find Revolution. Revelation. Reality Check.
amazing. And for this Libra rising, well, very timely. I was just thinking about my mom and how sometimes space is the best and only medicine in dealing with *some* of our issues. As Huffy wrote, if I’m confident in my boundaries, there’s no need to get angry. I simply say, she has a right to form her own ideas – and those don’t have to overtake my voice. I have a strong enough push back that I can still be calm. But the space is vital, otherwise I would have to be more vocal – and that seemed to feel like continuous fighting several years ago.
And the more I create an internal boundary, pushing that barrier more so that I have greater internal freedom of mind, the more I don’t slip into a role of taking care of anyone. They sense that increasing confidence, and I find them being more creative on their own. Not always an easy task, this.
