and this being PW, I read the title as “Everyone be louder with their vibrators!”
Oh Oh Oh yeeeeah
😉
and I love the pregnant pause Nigel makes, after he’s asked: “Why not settle for the #10″…….and he says “Yeah, but this goes up to 11”, probably thinking to himself, “You doofus”.
Couldn’t resist. I now never mistake my “s from my ‘s when I’m referring to inches and feet. 🙂
burning river — random tidbit:
one of my grandmothers was a professional dancer who danced in kick lines that performed in late vaudeville variety shows, etc. one of the many acts they performed with in these shows sometimes was les paul and mary ford. i remember my grandmother saying that “les paul was a very nice man, but his wife was a snob.”
i’ve just always loved the thought of being one degree of separation from les paul!
You’re a genius Amanda! I LOVE this film. You’ve made my weekend. Thanks xxx
Amanda–your youtube link is priceless! Les Paul was an amazing man, one of my favorites (sort of goes along with Fe’s article also–How High the Moon was one of the first cuts I heard by Les Paul and Mary Ford). Yep. Anyway, he and Nigel after their set during the talk part of the show with Dennis Miller is very funny. Especially about the amplifying capo. Thanks for the share.
Exactly….
so eric, you mean to say you often feel like you’re nigel? 😉
oh and check this out! nigel tufnel and les paul playing together on the old dennis miller show:

this is really what it’s like trying to explain things to many people.
One of my favourite scenes in an awesome movie. This and Stone Henge. 😀
