We can never know about the days to come, but we think about them anyway.
-Carly Simon, “Anticipation”
The astrology indicates a probable discrepancy between our inner and outer lives this week. Mercury, representing how we think, and the Moon, corresponding to how we feel, always move quickly. Over the next six or seven days, their apparent motion will be accelerating. It will be nearly as fast as we ever see either of them go. In sympathy, your mind and emotions may be inclined to push the pace. That may work for you if you work alone.
In order to work with everyone and everything else, it would be wise to consider the big picture. We are barely into a month that includes three eclipses. One is behind us, there are two more to go. Within that period of shadowed luminaries, there is a long sequence of planets changing their patterns, one after the other. Those pattern shifts implicitly define their container as an appropriate time to make adjustment to our own habits and routines. As above, so below.
Those planetary changes are of two kinds, direction of apparent motion and sign of occupation. They have a theme of their own. Shortly before each change, it is as if there is a pause while either the motion seems to stop or until the object makes a first aspect from its new home. Such pauses imply a tension. Being aware of that allows you to anticipate, and prepare for, the eventual release.
Until a few days ago, those pauses have been short. We are now in the midst of a longer one that will ultimately take about five days to resolve. It has to do with Jupiter changing its sign and Chiron its direction.
