Moon square Neptune-Chiron, Morning Star Mars

Today is Monday, July 11, 2011. The Moon enters Sagittarius at 5:46 am EDT. Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign ruled by Jupiter. You may find yourself feeling pretty good for a Monday morning, and perhaps even a little optimistic, though you will want to pay attention. With the Moon squaring dreamy Neptune in Pisces as soon as it enters Sagittarius, you can take this optimism a little further: As you’re getting ready to go in to work, pretend you’re on you’re way anywhere — maybe your dream job. Where would that be and how would that feel?

Now as you rise up in your dream-job balloon, do be aware that no sooner does the Moon square Neptune, but it then squares Chiron. The thing to remember today is not to get offended if an interaction with someone (or some aspect of inner self) feels a bit like a wet blanket being tossed onto the flame that’s giving your balloon lift. You can still rise to the occasion without tossing the blanket to the ground or being dragged down: the key is to find it within yourself to extend a little empathy and equanimity to the blanket-tosser. Yes, it can take real effort sometimes not to be offended or emotionally short-tempered. But if you can — which really means allowing yourself to change in response to what you perceive — there is a reward in the form of the Moon trine Uranus. That is, a wealth of creative energy.

On the other side of the wheel from the Moon there is some other dynamic energy available to you, in the form of Mars in Gemini sextile to Mercury in Leo. This is a source of mostly mental energy that is fueled from a slow burning passion within. Cleverness is sexy and you can reach out and touch someone with it today. Visually, both these planets are increasing in distance from the Sun, and so stretching up and out in their expressions.
