Today’s first quarter Moon in Virgo marks the halfway point between the annular solar eclipse in Gemini on May 20 and the partial lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on June 4. Have you noticed any shifts in your inner landscape, or in the dialogue with your inner twin?

We’re also one week and one day from Venus transiting the Sun (a conjunction in which Venus will actually be visible against the face of the Sun) and the third Moon-Pluto occultation (basically the Moon passing directly in front of Pluto, which we cannot see anyway). If that sounds like a lot of eclipse-type events in a short span of time, well, it is. We could call it a wake-up call from the front desk of the Hotel 2012 – also known as the Maya Motor Lodge; take your pick.
You can’t really ‘miss’ this call the way you can sleep through checkout and miss the continental breakfast – so there isn’t much point in getting freaked about over making sure you do the exact perfect thing during each of these events. It’s a process, and you’re in the flow right now – but your active engagement makes a difference.
The idea at this point is to keep everything moving. That’s what first quarter Moons are good for: pushing whatever projects you’ve begun to the next level, expanding plans, doing the leg work, turning the corner on whatever may have paused just before the weekend. Note this is a Virgo Moon. Virgo has a strong theme of service. Are you being called on to step up for some greater cause? In a sense, we all are, though for some it’s a little clearer than others where their unique gifts are needed. Listen for the “aha” moments, when you realize that something you do well is exactly what a situation needs – and then trust that you wouldn’t hear the “aha” if you weren’t capable now – no matter what the mental gremlins say.
