There’s a good chance that your inner landscape is a mixed bag now that you’ve had a chance to absorb the results of Tuesday’s election in the U.S., and the current astrology presents a similar theme. There appears to be an overarching tone, but with a hiccup. Navigating the hiccup may come down to whether you stay focused on higher truths and the greater good, or allow yourself to be seduced by pride, finger-pointing and a desire to keep for yourself rather than share the love (and more tangible resources).

Tomorrow Venus in Libra forms a trine to Jupiter in Gemini. It’s exact just before 2:26 am EST Friday, but is in effect now. In general, Venus trine Jupiter is a very lucky, fortunate aspect marked by a high degree of “givingness,” as Isabel Hickey puts it. I think we can translate that to ‘generosity,’ and it plays out in financial affairs, as well as an active, awake soul force and strong devotion or faith.
With Libra and Gemini involved, this sounds like a sense of easy, beneficial flow in matters of post-election justice, as well as in personal relationships. Libra brings in universal justice and balance (as we have seen enacted with votes on same-sex marriage, and the defeat of candidates who would restrict access to women’s health services).
Gemini, the sign of the twin, reminds us that those on ‘the other side of the aisle’ may not be thrilled, may have dangerous agendas, but ultimately represent the flip side to our own coins. Awake to that insight, we have the opportunity to offer space even as we work for truly just solutions moving forward.
Granted, the ‘opposition’ may not feel like playing on higher ground. No one said putting this energy to work would be easy in the wider world, even if it makes for an easeful thought/feeling experiment within each of us. And in truth, there’s a chance you may catch and snag on a corner of your own psyche, as well. Just as Venus and Jupiter sync up in their trine, the Virgo Moon squares Jupiter exactly. Virgo Moons can be tricky: prone to being analytical and critical, wanting to serve but lacking a full understanding of the other’s needs. (That said, Virgo Moons, especially when waning as this one is, are awesome for tidying and reorganizing home and work spaces; the key is giving the energy the right job to do.)
