We can never know about the days to come, but we think about them anyway.
-Carly Simon, “Anticipation”
The astrology indicates a probable discrepancy between our inner and outer lives this week. Mercury, representing how we think, and the Moon, corresponding to how we feel, always move quickly. Over the next six or seven days, their apparent motion will be accelerating. It will be nearly as fast as we ever see either of them go. In sympathy, your mind and emotions may be inclined to push the pace. That may work for you if you work alone.
In order to work with everyone and everything else, it would be wise to consider the big picture. We are barely into a month that includes three eclipses. One is behind us, there are two more to go. Within that period of shadowed luminaries, there is a long sequence of planets changing their patterns, one after the other. Those pattern shifts implicitly define their container as an appropriate time to make adjustment to our own habits and routines. As above, so below.
Those planetary changes are of two kinds, direction of apparent motion and sign of occupation. They have a theme of their own. Shortly before each change, it is as if there is a pause while either the motion seems to stop or until the object makes a first aspect from its new home. Such pauses imply a tension. Being aware of that allows you to anticipate, and prepare for, the eventual release.
Until a few days ago, those pauses have been short. We are now in the midst of a longer one that will ultimately take about five days to resolve. It has to do with Jupiter changing its sign and Chiron its direction.
The most recent change in planetary patterns has to do with Jupiter. Over the weekend it entered Taurus, where it will stay for about a year. In the long run, that ingress may carry more weight than even the eclipses. For now, the important thing to remember is that we are still in pause, and hence tension. One more thing remains for the shift to be consummated. We are waiting for the first aspect to another planet. As with every sign change since the first week of April, that will be with Neptune.
Participating with and, eventually, precipitating that closure is Chiron. Its forward motion has been all but arrested since Jupiter moved into Taurus. On Wednesday, shortly after 5 pm EDT, the first centaur will station retrograde. Just over seven hours later, a sextile to Neptune will endorse Jupiter’s visa and things will begin to unwind.
In the meantime we are faced with the possibility of integrating two disparate realities. Or rather, the opportunity. At a time when our implied work is with self revision, accommodating discrepancies would be preferable to being confronted by them. Rather than waiting for what you anticipate, you may want to make a conscious effort to work with what comes to you. Instead of feeling that your expectations are late in being met, you could put your energy into meeting them halfway. Know and be present with your intent so that you become one with it. There is power in that alone. Apply that power with patience and the course of events promises to yield a harmony in the days to come.

MM,
The phrase refers to horses; if they have been ridden hard they can get sick if not walked and rubbed down. “Put up wet” means just leaving them in their stall all sweaty. :::grin:::
my “yes!yes!yes!” was in reference to the wonderful “rode hard and put away wet” from be … which gave me such a massive grin throughout the day. bless ya’ll … took me some real doing to come up with a non-sexual image, but I got there, thank you, carrie!
mm.
Oh, not to make levity out of pain but the “ridden hard and put up wet” does have very sexual connotations to it….really. ::::grinning::::
yes!yes!yes!
thank you, everyone, so much …
mm.
aword,
I feel your pain.

PS Be – enjoyed your “rode hard and put away wet”. As for me, Im feeling like I was rode hard then rode hard then, well rode hard — and tense from anticipating that I’m about to be rode hard. I’m just awaiting the gluefactory truck to come take me away. heh-heh.
ok then. nose back to grindstone.
Pardon ME? When did Chiron decide to turn tail??
These planets are behaving like people I know. (I’m sure there’s an appropriate emoticon… I just don’t have access to my emoticon library.)
Welllllll… At least I was following some of these words of wisdom before reading them.
(I’m pitching a tent in the woods right away. Well. Almost right away. When it stops surprise-snowing.)
Jupiter opposing natal Jupter/nn/Neptune.
Can’t be all bad.
Well Len, this sounds like a good time to employ Saturn in Libra “to apply that power with patience” so it will “yield harmony in the days to come.” Wish I’d thought of that sooner, but who better to take advantage of any pause in this insane pace we have been moving in. Is it just me? I feel like I’ve been rode-hard-and-put-away-wet, what with all the Arian scramble to get things started. Thank goodness for Jupiter and his pause, and Chiron too. A little Libra balance and Saturn perseverance, tense though it may be, will get these realities integrated and get me back on the road again.

Or as in my case, work with other things that are happening and let go of those I had waited for in the first place, The anticipated thing is apparently not based on reality and as such was never going to come anyway. Better to look ahead and keep on going.
“Rather than waiting for what you anticipate, you may want to make a conscious effort to work with what comes to you.”
That is very much part of the dynamic I am experiencing. I’ve been feeling the pronounced energies of Jupiter, which also happens to rule my chart, since Friday evening. The ingress on Saturday morning was quite cathartic for me. Life seems to be unfolding for me in a very interesting way; so what I’m trying to do is get out of its way and let it happen!
Blessings to one and all.
