Right now definitely has resonance with that time, though. Life is indeed happening, at a pace I can just keep up with (and which requires a little turning off the phone & email at times). I can see how in ’99 I was distracted by the past, but now the past shows up more like a series of events whose meaning is something I have the power to bestow.
