Astrology Today: Oracle for Friday, October 18, 2013

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Pisces weekly for Dec. 10, 2004

Astrology Blog: The Oracle, Weekly Horoscopes, Monthly Horoscopes.

Not everyone can carry the weight of the world. This is true. But many people each have to carry a piece of it. While you may think you are being given more responsibility than you can reasonably handle in truth you can handle a lot more. This will not be welcome news to every Pisces as there are many of our tribe who would rather pretend the world is a certain way than actually take on the work of this time in history. Who is who? I can make it really simple. If you see the problems then you are being called to be part of the solution. The first part is much more stressful than the second.

Note, The Oracle is a random selection from the Eric Francis horoscope archives. Each day we publish one entry from among the 10,000 in our database. It’s a little slice of horoscope history — but chosen by our Oracle program, which always speaks to the present moment. New horoscopes are published each Friday plus twice a month in Planet Waves subscriber edition and Planet Waves Light.

  1. I hear you, Geoff.

I actually felt yesterday like the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders for a while. It was nice.

And all this talk of dragons makes me wish Hazel were here! That girl’s got the best dragon imagery I’ve ever visualized. That dragon in the cave with the steam, dissolving into ether has never left me, though I’m sure I mixed some of the imagery up. 🙂

  2. I’m really not in the mood to argue today Geoff. Sorry, lets just both be right today.Whatever game you and your friends are playing here doesnt look like fun to me.

  3. I’m not familiar with the Ridley Scott film, although I think perhaps I should be. My reference was to the Prometheus from Greek mythology who provided man with fire – either fire as we are know it or as the spark of life that animated man. It’s arguable that the Gods existed before our universe was created so the question of his star sign in this incarnation is moot. If it’s argued that the Titans represent human qualities expressed as the divine then the sign Aquarius would be appropriate because their father was Cronos (Saturn) and their grandfather Ouranos (Uranus), the traditional and modern rulers of that sign. This would, though, be true for all the offspring of Gaia and Ouranos.

  4. Geoff, I’m referring to the hero God in the mystery schools. The GOD that saved man from destruction. Not the movie Prometheus, two very distinctly different albeit thankfully wonderful things.

  5. “In the face of missing information, one must either make an assumption or wait for additional data. All of this needs to be handled consciously over the next five or six days. Who gets the benefit of your assumptions? Who gets the benefit of the doubt?”

Three yellow roses for my three true loves

And if love were to call me
    – to hold a space for you
    – to draw a circle
    – to turn my back to your nakedness
    ’til the time of nakedness;
What if love should entrust me?
To love pleasure alone takes little
and we have work to do,
should we desire to take care
    of ourselves and each other?

  6. Geoff, that’s brilliant. Thank you. May I take the liberty of adding ‘and dragons’? – evolving anthropoids and dragons! all best, nilou

  7. … and “If you’re not part of the solution then you must be part of the problem,” as the saying went in the ’60s.
My vote, IAMSTANDINGHERE, goes to Aquarius. Ruled by Uranus, the higher octave of Mercury, this sign would suit a guy with the hubris to steal fire from the god/desses rather than the common people. It would also explain his conceit in knowing the future and realising just how useful the concept of fire-on-demand would be to the evolving anthropoids.

  8. As an individual with a tight Sun square Saturn natal aspect, I can relate to this quote significantly. There were times in my life when I was carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders. But I decided that my responsibility in this life is to be a natural scientist because it enables me to be out there in the world, have an adventure (Sagittarius stellium in the 10th house, Mars in Aries Rx in the 1st…), while taking care of society and the environment in a way that preserves my vital force (Pisces rising, North Node in Pisces in the 1st house, Virgo Sun in the 7th house, Mars square Neptune, and Venus in Leo in the 6th house). It’s a responsibility I can carry without feeling exhausted, I feel fulfilled and accomplished, and I feel less discouragement/resistance from myself and others in this path compared to other paths.
