Astrology Today: Oracle for Wednesday, October 9, 2013

Today’s Oracle takes us to the Capricorn weekly for Aug. 22, 2003

Astrology Blog: The Oracle, Weekly Horoscopes, Monthly Horoscopes.

While repeated experiences and human encounters in the recent era of your life have put you in contact with your darker nature, by now you should be seeing that this is a necessary step in the process of accepting yourself as who you are, and of becoming a whole person. One of the problems with just about every form of spirituality, religion and therapy is that they are usually designed to make us nice, manageable and consistent people. I suggest you go for real, whole and unprocessed. The world is ready to meet you as who you are, but more accurately, you are ready to meet the world as who you are. By ‘world’ I’m speaking of something larger than you may be thinking.

Note, The Oracle is a random selection from the Eric Francis horoscope archives. Each day we publish one entry from among the 10,000 in our database. It’s a little slice of horoscope history — but chosen by our Oracle program, which always speaks to the present moment. New horoscopes are published each Friday plus twice a month in Planet Waves subscriber edition and Planet Waves Light.

  1. I hear you on the lonely part, susyc. And yet it is about learning that we’re all one. I was thinking this morning about a funny moment I had a while ago. I was sitting beside the river, meditating & journaling. As a mom & her young boy walked by on the trail, he was singing that (INXS?) song:

Shout, Shout, Let it all out
These are the things I can do without.
Come on, I’m talking to you. Come on.

She gave me a sheepish look & apologized, but I had to laugh out loud. When was the last time you A) heard that song, B) sung by a 7-year-old, C) as you’re journaling, trying to figure out why your life seems so stuck???

I was like, “I get it. You ARE talking to me, and there ARE things I can do without.”

So while the journey is a personal one, in a way the entire Universe is, as Rob Brezsny likes to say, conspiring to help us get where we’re going. For me, there’s a different kind of comfort in that.

I still have to laugh at that cute little boy. I mean really. That was awesome.

  2. “One of the problems with just about every form of spirituality, religion and therapy is that they are usually designed to make us nice, manageable and consistent people. I suggest you go for real, whole and unprocessed”, Yes! Thank you for another wonderful Oracle.
Hope you and your husband are well, Susy.

  3. So the message I’ve been getting in this department is to do my own thing. Yup, be my own guru. Seems kind of lonely. But kind of not. Although in the final analysis, alone is how we do life. All one.
