Today’s Oracle takes us to the Pisces weekly for May 21, 2004

You are about to take that big chance on the count of three. Taking a chance means no guarantees; that’s written right into the deal. But we are also not talking about going to Vegas and betting the house on a roulette wheel spin. Einstein was right. God does not play dice with the universe, and God does not play dice with you. So what happens over the next few days is anything but random, even though the events that feed into current developments have roots so far in the past you may not remember them. But think back; there are obvious connections.
Note, The Oracle is a random selection from the Eric Francis horoscope archives. Each day we publish one entry from among the 10,000 in our database. It’s a little slice of horoscope history — but chosen by our Oracle program, which always speaks to the present moment. New horoscopes are published each Friday plus twice a month in Planet Waves subscriber edition and Planet Waves Light.
Thanks, Strawberrylaughter! Best wishes to you as well! And “inner songstresses”–I “lobe” it! (I can’t help it, must post this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxxajLWwzqY A minor addiction, or really, guilty pleasure, for anything Lena Dunham creates forced me to like it. π )
Wow, Sarah–that’s a potent thought to have running around in your head all day! What a gift to have delivered first thing in the morning. I can see how it would get stuck, too; that’s an addictive little song π
Best wishes with taking this big chance & working with this “thing you’ve been fighting all along!” (and Cheers to the wisdom of our inner sonstresses π )
Nicely put, Oracle. Eyes peeled for the connections. I am into this one already.
Great song post, Strawberrylaughter! I love the Buckleys! Leonard Cohen is a genius. I agree with your “book” about having a good start with him as your lyricist. (Well, except for Jennifer Warnes. That was just a mess.)
I usually wake up with a song in my head too! I’ve always thought it was a little voice pointing me in the direction of my day. I woke up today with this song in my head. Not sure what it means, or where it’s pointing me–it’s probably just the result of seeing them at a festival yesterday. In any case, this is what I was singing: Have I been on your mind? What’s a voice without a song? Something in your head you’ve been fighting all along. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHt9SPwbEmw
No doubt, Daniel. In my book, when Leonard Cohen is your lyricist you’re in good shape from the start. But holy Jesus, that’s a beautiful rendition. I had to add it to my iPod. I dream of someday creating art half this alive.
Cheers to both of you!
Great stuff, Strawberry!
that is a fine sweet version of that song, wow. Happy shifting!
I always have a song running in the back of my head; I figure it’s my subconscious chatting away at me. So I had to smile, knowing something significant has shifted when I woke up singing this

even a sad and broken hallelujah is a hallelujah I will take at full value these days (especially in the hands of a god like Buckley).
Wow! Love ya, Ericle!
