That Saturn return does point to some things that would be influencing Snowden doesn’t it? You mention daddy issues and I picked up on mommy issues or maybe just parental issues, especially in the 1st crossing of trans. Saturn over his Saturn-Pluto conjunction.
The eclipse season (Sagittarius-Gemini) at the time of his Saturn return featured trans. Uranus stationing direct at the Aries Point (0 Aries) that would have sextiled his natal Chiron at 0 Gemini, possibly awakening something from his childhood. Five months later, the solar eclipse at 0 Gemini would speed up that consciousness awakening.
Also at the time of the 1st Saturn return (December 2011), transiting Neptune at 28 Aquarius was conjunct his natal Ceres (mother grieves loss of child) and they both trined his Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Libra. Trans. Neptune was also still conjunct the U.S. Moon (27 Aquarius), so we know he likely felt a nurturing affinity for/with the U.S. People (Moon) that would require some sacrifice (and/or duplicity) from him, due to trans. Neptune’s influence on his Ceres. This Neptune influence (conj. natal Ceres and U.S. Moon) was trine his natal Saturn-conjunct-Pluto, at the same time trans. Saturn was making it’s first “return” conjunction. If a Saturn return indicates a grow-up signal (taking on responsibility) then Snowden must have received it as a death and rebirth thing (Scorpio Moon, Pluto conjunct Saturn) he needed to do.
